GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRACTICAL EXAMINER

1. Examiner(s) will assign ONE (01) experiment from Category-I to each
candidate for:

2. Examiner will assign two experiments from category II. The candidate to
perform ONE (01) experiment from these two experiments. Examiner will
award marks on the performance along with
i) Procedure 02
ii) Balanced Chemical Equation 03
iii) Calculation
Results recorded on Answer Sheet
3. Examiner will assign one experiment from Category-III. Candidate perform 02
the experiment and record the results on answer sheet.
4. Examiner will assign one experiment from Category-IV. Candidate perform 02
the experiment and record the results on answer sheet.
5. Examiner may not give same experiments in two consecutive groups.
6. Examiner should assign a single set of practicals to a single group.
7. Maximum time allowed for practical examination will be 3 hours
8. Instead of Practical Notebook and Viva Voce, the examiner will provide four 06
questions and students are required to answer any three of them. Each question will
be of two marks. (Model Questions are attached herewith for reference at the end)

PRACTICAL EXAMINATION

Time Allowed: 3:00 Hours Total Marks: 20

Examiner(s) will provide ONE (01) experiment from Category-I to each candidate for:

i. Procedure 02

3. Separation of given mixture

4. Determine the Melting point of Biphenyl 05

5. Demonstrate sublimation using solid Ammonium Chloride

6. Prepare 100cm3 of 0.1M NaOH solution

7. Prepare 250 cm3 of 0.1 M HCl solution

Examiner assign two experiments from category II. Perform ONE (01) experiment assigned by the
examiner. Write procedure, chemical equation, suppose reading and calculation also write the result(s)
/ observation(s) on the Answer Sheet:
