giving me an opportunity to intern at his Office and for guiding me through my entire term of
internship.
I would also like to convey my best regards to all other faculty members of School of Law,
who have bestowed their guidance and valuable inputs as they are beacons for student like
me who is trying to figure out the maximum and the optimum potential. While pursuing this
course in prestigious school of law under Sandip University for which I am aware and would
strive every nerve to reach that potential where my alma mater will be always proud of. I
express my gratitude towards my friends, all teaching staff and their valuable support in this
journey.
FIRST WEEK: 2nd To 7th May 2022
My internship journey has very kaleidoscopic aspect entangled with it. I Joined Mr. Adv.
Shrihari W. Rankhamb's office at Hinjawadi phase 3, Pune.
Since, it was 1st May and being Sunday by actual attending of a started from 2nd May 2022.
As I am working professional, he allowed me to take out some time for important task at my
disposal for which I am indebted to him. On the very first day, we discussed about law
education in India and spreading law education across the country and he congratulated me
for having admission in prestigious Sandip Law University at Nashik. Mr. Adv. Shrihari
Rankhamb told me very frankly to get involved in the small but important activities
happening in the office. 2nd may 2022 to 7th May 2022 as per his advice I kept on observing
various interactions that happened between client and team in the office. These observations
include all walks of people, their concerns, their communication and what they expect from a
lawyer and how these expectations are met with based on existing law and current trends.
Since, it is an area surrounded by information technology companies and most of the clients
belong to higher-middle class. They had different problems and enquiries like about flat
apartments, plots and clear title of the plots and issues related to revenue matters. On
listening to this carefully, I could learn and enlighten myself about various nitty-gritties and
legal aspects of property dealings. One example, I would cite here, should a flat come with
parking space attached or should parking space be sold separately and not included in the cost
of flat. These such debates helped me understand modern living complexities and life needs
in purview of increased urbanization and neo capitalism in current perspective.
SECOND WEEK: 9th To 13th May 2022
Having spent one week, while doing observations and activities those took place in the office.
Those helped me understand nature of drafts, clients queries, other cases like family matters ,
specially application of 498 A, it's implications while discussing with Mr. Adv. Shrihari
Rankhamb sir. All this led to help me understand the functioning of Bharosa cell closely and
an example of - 22 year old women who wanted to commit suicide as her boyfriend jilted her
and refused to marry after having three years relationship. It involved some misunderstanding
on both of the sides but when the couple approached and sought legal advice following
counseling from the cops, they reunited, decided and confirmed the date for the marriage.
This way, I could actively participate in the process reunion of a couple and how bharosa cell
works for the solving of the family matters in the legal framework.
THIRD WEEK: 16th To 21st May 2022
On 17th, 18th and 19th May 2022, I visited the court and followed the instructions given to
me to maximize court exposure. Where, I learned the formalities of submitting the
applications, taking the dates for clients hearing, submitting the application for clients
absence etc.
FOURTH WEEK: 23rd To 27th May 2022
From 23rd to 27th May 2022, I took hands on experience of typing the drafts related to rent
agreements, other property matters, gift deeds and marriage certificates, translations for visa
purposes.
FIFTH WEEK: 30th And 31st May 2022
On 31st May, I am asked to revise the internship tenure in such way so that I can take more
active participation in the next internship tenure.
These revision instructions where
1. To listen the clients carefully.
2. Understand their concerns and tell them very frankly if it is possible to do or not.
3. While typing the draft very small details should not be ignored and attention to them
is on high priority. (Case of Aryan khan's arrest and granting the bail is an example to
be studied.)
Lastly, my mentor Mr. Shrihari Rankhamb sir gave me various valuable tips and guidance to
keep the motivation up in the long marathon of legal studies ahead and wished me all the best
my endeavors.
CONCLUSION
Application of law in the country like India, where there is a lot of diversity of cultures,
people, mindsets, social economic strata, different categories of the people and their
approaches. It is very vital and essential to customize and analyze each case from other in
different manner and specially, when it comes to concerns of women and their rights, their
needs, special care to be taken as they are having diverse of existence in the country like
India. This enlightens me and synchronized my mindset for applying the theory in the
practical framework of larger legal canvas.
