ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The most awaited moment of any endeavor is successful completion, but nothing can be done
successfully if done alone. Success is the outcome of contribution and consistent help of various
persons and we thank those ones who helped us in successful completion of this project.
Primarily I would like to thank Prof. (Dr.) Sonali Sharma Dean USCS for providing a healthy and
encouraging environment to study. Moreover, I express my thanks to our guide Mr. Anup

Introduction

A useful text editor is a essential component of any personnel computer , Every

day we need to make notes , compose documents and record vital pieces of
information. We depend on our text editor. In a broad sense the application is
provides us with the ability to create , edit and save files containing text. Text is a
general category of Keystrokes including but not limited.
Notepad is a basic text editor .. It can use to create simple documents. . Many
users find Notepad with simple tool for creating web pages because Notepad
supports only very basic formatting, you cannot accidentally save special
formatting in documents that need to remain pure text. This is very useful when
creating HTML documents for a Web page, because special characters or other
formatting may not appear in your published Web page or may even cause errors.
Notepad is a common text only editor. The files typically saved with .text
extension have no format tags or styles, making the program suitable for editing
system files. It is easy to use for implementation of shortcut keys for basic editing
functions. Notepad has a very simple and easy to use interface that doesn’t take
much memory and resources of the computer.

Objectives

There will be times when you will want to edit textual files. Textual files are
different from documents created by WordPad, Word, WordPerfect or some
other word processing program in that they contain no imbedded codes. Editing
these files with a word processing program can introduce special characters that
make these files unusable.

Instead, use Notepad which allows you to edit the file as pure text. Textual files
will normally have a TXT file extension, but there are several special purpose files
in Windows that must be pure text. Some of the more important of these include
your CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT, WIN.INI and SYSTEM.INI (These files existed in
earlier version of Windows, but have been eliminated in Windows XP).
You may get to the point of wanting to play with these files. If so, use Notepad to
edit these and not WordPad as your system cannot use the resulting WordPad
file. If you decide you want to create a web page, but don't have an HTML editor,
you will want to use Notepad so as not to introduce those nasty characters
associated with WordPad, etc.

Language used
Java is a general-purpose programming language that is class-based, object-
oriented, and designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible. It
is intended to let application developers write once, run anywhere (WORA),
meaning that compiled Java code can run on all platforms that support Java
without the need for recompilation.

Java applications are typically compiled to bytecode that can run on any Java
virtual machine (JVM) regardless of the underlying computer architecture. The
syntax of Java is similar to C and C++, but it has fewer low-level facilities than
either of them. As of 2019, Java was one of the most popular programming
languages in use according to GitHub, particularly for client-server web
applications, with a reported 9 million developers.]

Java was originally developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems (which has
since been acquired by Oracle) and released in 1995 as a core component of Sun
Microsystems' Java platform. The original and reference implementation Java
compilers, virtual machines, and class libraries were originally released by Sun
under proprietary licenses
About the Project

This application is a text editor in JAVA. This text editor developed in a JAVA
platform is a replication of the word editors we all are familiar with and which we
use quite often on a daily basis. The only difference being that, this editor has been

stored in the desired location .This editor is a simple editor, very similar to that of a
notepad editor that extends the basic features to the end-user like:

want to save in plain text and that is not all you can do with it . If you have not
used Notepad Much , you may surprised by hoe easy it is to work with .Lets take a
new look of this old Desktop app for Windows , What it is and what it.

There are very basic cut, copy , paste operations were implementations for this
representations. A number of different techniques are used for obtain this
operations in other editors. The most common use of Notepad is to view or change
(edit) txt (.txt) files, through , .dat and .ini files can be change in notepad as well.
