A Detailed Lesson Plan

“LIBRARY IN THE SCHOOL”

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:
A. Know the things that we can do in the library.
B. Tell the importance of a library in the school.
C. Put the pictures on the chart that shows the things that we do in library.

A. Topic: Library in the School.
B. Reference: K to 12 Curriculum for Kinder; Week 22
C. Materials: Pictures, Objects, Worksheets
D. Valuing: Understanding of the importance of using a library.

III. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES

A. ROUTINE

- Line up children. Go to your station.


Good morning children. (The children will reply)
Good.
Before we start our lesson for today, we’re going
to have our prayer first.
Kindly please all stand up.
Do the hands’ position for prayer.

Prayer

Okay, let us pray children.

(The teacher will lead the prayer) (The children will follow the prayer)

“Lord, thank you for this day,

But before that, Teacher John will sing our
“Days of the Week Song”

“Let us sing the seven days of the week (2x)


We have SUNDAY, MONDAY, TUESDAY,
WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, and
SATURDAY.

Okay, kindly put the day on the chart. (The children will answer)

Very good, but how about the day yesterday,

WEATHER FOR TODAY

How about our weather for today?


But before that, Teacher John will sing first our
“Weather Song”

E. LESSON PROPER

Today, our lesson is all about the library in


school.
Library is a silent place because:

First, we take our study.

We took our study with our friends.


Second, we read books.
(The children will answer.)

We read alone or with friends also.

Third, we take a research online for more ideas.

Again, in library, we take our study, we read


books and we take some research online
because library is a silent place and this is a
perfect place for us to have these all.

F. ENHANCEMENT ACTIVITY

Now, I have these pictures and a chart.

Put the pictures on the chart that shows the


things that we do in library.

Today, we’ve learned about the things we do in

these all.
