GFW0001: AI for Everyone Semester I, Session 2023/2024
Dr Unaizah, Prof Sameem, Dr. Aznul
Choose, define, and design a specific love problem that can be solved using Artificial Intelligence.
Examples:
How compatible are you and your partner based on facial features similarity?
o Compatibility test based on facial features.
Can you classify whether a pair of individuals would fall in love based on their personal
backgrounds?
o Love classifier based on features from pairs of couples.
How much are you in love with your partner? Is it possible to quantify and predict the love for
someone?
o Love value predictor (regression)
Etc.
You are required to present your ideas and describe how your proposed system can be implemented
(dataset, processing, system flow, user interface, etc.) based on the knowledge and skills you learned from
the course. Focus must be given on the types of datasets used as input, steps for data pre-processing,
modeling techniques, flowchart/diagrams/system flow, system user interface, output/application
(description on how to use the system). You are not expected (it is not mandatory) to develop a full
working system (no coding or program development is required), however, you must show a prototype
demonstration of your solution using role-playing/recycle materials/video/storyline/flyer/cardboard
models/wireframe/paper interface/etc.
Marks shall be awarded based on a specific rubric (Section 2 of this document), aimed at evaluating the
overall level of understanding of the students behind the Artificial Intelligence techniques used to solve the
problems.
The AI techniques employed are not limited to the techniques presented in class (i.e., can use other AI
methods).
IMPORTANT:
Note that there are limited datasets for the different problems surrounding love. And so, you may need to
design or develop a method to collect your own datasets for the problems that you have chosen. There is
even a possibilityof developing a mock-dataset (this dataset can be real or fictional) to demonstrate your
proposed problem and solution.
