Criminology 3B - Approaches
and Responses to Crime
MODULE
PURPOSE
This module aims to provide
further insight into the Criminology Theories that
you have touched on in previous modules.
Theories are used to describe, explain, predict, and
control the subject matter to which they
are related. In terms of this module, theories are
used and applied to crime typologies in an
attempt to gain a deeper understanding of the root
causes of crime in order to inform social
and crime policy which could be developed to
address and prevent criminal behaviour.
