Process Engineering (GP)

Focuses on the design, operation of plants, control and optimization of chemical process, These
include:

 Natural and man-made materials

 Interaction of material with machines
 Safety and health
 Energy conservation
 Waste and pollution control
 Creating products and new materials
 The development of process
 Applies the principles of chemistry, physics and mathematics
Focuses on turning new ideas and discoveries into useful products
Chemical that are attainable. Most work falls into the design, manufacture and
engineering operation of plants and machinery as well as the development of new
materials or substances.

Material Involves properties of matter (material) and it’s application to enginee-

engineering ring. Polymerization, silicates, resin, crystallography…

Petro-chemical Produce organic intermediate products such as refinery products (by

engineering a specific operation such as distillation) , natural gas, plastic, rubber,
fiber, raw materials…
(GP) Focus on discovering, formulating, and manufacturing medication
pharmaceutical or medicament, para-pharmacy and cosmetic products; such as
engineering creams, essential oils by applying specific technics like extraction,
distillation…and analytical and quality control process.
Focus on the protection of environment from pollution (atmospheric
pollution, water pollution and floor pollution) it’s a domain that
Environmental create methods, technics and materials to depollute, treat, and
engineering eliminate environmental issues that risk the life of human being.
Moreover it’s work on developing technics and matters that are
friends to the nature such us using the wind, biomass, water.. to
produce energy ( renewable energy) …
Chemistry

Tend to focus on:

 Testing theories
 Developing novel material and methods
 Analyzing substances (characterization)
 Measuring the physical and chemical properties of substances and
samples

Analytical chemistry
Deals with methods for the chemical composition of sample determination.
