ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Without the assistance of the All-Powerful God, who gave us the stamina and health
to finish the job, it would not have been possible to complete this internal examination. Our
great Entrepreneurship teacher, Mr. T. Hamilton, helped and supported his students every
step of the way, as well as our families and friends, who were a huge help in helping us
gather the research data we needed for the project. We are very appreciative and grateful.

DATA COLLECTION
The investigational strategy that was applied to this study was main. Both open-ended
and closed-ended questions were included in the survey. Because they don't have any
restrictions or predetermined responses and can gather more data, open-ended questions were
chosen. Because they are quicker and easier to respond to, closed-ended questions were
chosen.
Two methods of data collecting were employed to gather information for this investigative
study.
1. An interview is described as "a face-to-face meeting of people, especially for
consultation."
2. A questionnaire is described as "a set of printed or written questions with a choice of
answers, devised for purposes of survey or statistical study."
On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, an interview with the owner of Shake Shop was held.
Permission was requested to conduct the interview in compliance with the CXC standards for
the CAPE Internal Assessment prior to the interview.
An interview was chosen since it is face-to-face communication and allows us to see the
interviewee's facial expressions as they respond to questions. The entrepreneur was also
handed a questionnaire. The questionnaire was used as a guide during the interview to collect
data, removing the potential for misinterpretation and maintaining the session's flow.
During the interview, there were obstacles to overcome, including:
● The interviewee was repeatedly sidetracked by his cellphone during the conversation.
● Another constraint was the workers' constant arrivals and departures.

NAME AND DESCRIPTION OF VENTURE
Shake Shop is the company's current name, and it is situated in Morant Bay, St.
Thomas, Jamaica. Originally held by a family, this venture is now ran alone by Mr. Victor
Flemmings. The company makes nutritious shakes and wellness items using only organic
ingredients. The business aspires to develop and grow. The goal is to fulfill the requirements
and desires of the customers by offering a premium product at a fair and aggressive price.
The company's primary goals are to produce high-quality goods and maintain a tight working
connection with its staff. The business has been operating for more than 7 years and now
employs over 8 people.
7
BACKGROUND OF THE ENTREPRENEUR PRIOR TO STARTING
VENTURE
The Businessperson Around the age of 35, Mr. Victor Flemmings is a married man.
The Shake Shop is a family-run business that Mr. Flemming's mother founded. As a child, he
would accompany his mother there to watch how she ran the business. Seeing how content
his mother was with her work motivated him to start his own company and take it over. His
goals for the company include further growth and expansion.

CHARACTERISTICS OF ENTREPRENEUR
9
ORIGIN OF THE VENTURE
To provide the public healthful, distinctive shakes, Mr. Flemming's mother opened
Shake Shop in the middle of 2012. When Flemming's mother became unwell and was unable
to run the company any longer, Flemming took over. In 2014, Mr. Flemmings assumed full
control of the company, relieving his mother's concerns.

OUTLINE OF ORAL PRESENTATION
Introductory Speech
Good Morning, Mr. Hamilton & classmates, today will be conducting an oral presentation of
how our Internal Assessment impacted each of us individually. First, we will give you a little
background of the entrepreneur we chose.
CONCLUSION
11
The benefits of the health industry for entrepreneurs is the main topic of this internal
assessment. We were able to understand the goals and objectives of this portfolio thanks to
the research that was done. The traits required to pursue a commercial activity and the risks
that must be taken to assure success have been revealed by this research. It demonstrated the
importance of entrepreneurs to the economy and how far one can go after beginning small.
The location of the company is its key issue. Due to its location in a remote region of
the town, few people are aware of it unless they have heard about it from a friend or are
regulars in the neighborhood. Since the company has been in the family for many years and
cannot make any radical changes, it is crucial that the prices remain fair and the recipes
remain tried and true. In order to attract new customers, the company must also find ways to
market. Flyers and radio commercials can help with this. In essence, this research gave us
eye-opening information and expanded our understanding of the dangers associated with
being an entrepreneur.
