SCHOOL HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

In accordance with DepEd Order No. 014 s.2020 entitled “Guidelines on the required
Health Standards in Basic Education Offices and Schools”, the school hereby adopts the
following Health and Safety Guidelines:

1. All returning personnel physically reporting to work shall undergo screening for
symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough, colds, and other respiratory
symptoms, and/or relevant history of travel or exposure within the last 14 days.

1.1 All Teaching and Non-teaching personnel who are symptomatic and with
relevant history of travel/exposure within 14 days prior to the date of work
resumption shall not be allowed to physically report to work and must
consult with their primary care provider and obtain a Certificate of
Quarantine Completion from their Local Health Unit (BHERT or CHO).

1.2 All Teaching and Non-teaching personnel who are symptomatic and with
no relevant history of travel/exposure within 14 days prior to the date of
work resumption shall seek medical advice for proper treatment/
intervention and obtain medical certificate before reporting back to work.

1.3 All Teaching and Non-teaching personnel who are asymptomatic and
with relevant history of travel/exposure within 14 days prior to the date
of work resumption can be cleared to physically return to work only upon
presentation of a medical certificate issued by the Local Health Unit or
private health care provider.

1.4 All Teaching and Non-teaching personnel who are asymptomatic and
with no relevant history of travel/exposure within 14 days prior to the
date of work resumption can be allowed to return to work physically.

2. General Health and Safety Protocol


2.1 All personnel are advised to download Staysafe.Ph application from their
cellphones for contact tracing and health reporting purposes. The school has
its QR code placed at all entrances for scanning by personnel and visitors
before entering the school. This is for the contactless Health Declaration
process.
2.1.1 In the absence of cellphones, a printed Health Declaration form is
readily available at all entrances to be filled up by the School
personnel and visitors.
2.2 All personnel and visitors shall be subjected to temperature checks using a
thermal scanner before entering the school. Those who will have a reading
of 37.5 Celsius or above shall be brought to the Holding Area/ Screening
Area near the school entrance and examined further for appropriate
intervention or referral.
2.3 Always observe proper use of face masks and face shields. Both nose and
mouth should be covered.
2.4 There should be a sanitizing foot bath in all entrances.
2.5 Please observe physical distancing (at least 1 meter apart) at all times and
use the floor markings provided.
2.6 The school shall ensure the availability of Hand sanitizer (alcohol-based) in
entrances and communal areas.

2.7 The school shall ensure the availability of hand soaps and a functional
handwashing facility near the entrance.
2.8 All private vehicles are not allowed to enter the school vicinity.
