ABSTRACT
This correlational study explores the relationship between Time Management and
Academic Performance among Senior High School students at ACLC College of Ormoc City.
The study aims to investigate the challenges face by these students and provide
with correlational design, data was collected through survey questionnaires distributed to
identified working students. The findings reveal strong positive correlation between time
management and academic performance, indicating that effective time management significantly

INTRODUCTION
In this Chapter it typically starts with the background of the study, providing
context and historical perspective on the topic under investigation. Following that, the
statement of the problem identifies the specific issues or gaps in knowledge that the
research seeks to address. The significance of the study highlights its potential
contributions to the field, while the scope and delimitation outline the boundaries and
limitations of the research. Finally, the definition of terms clarifies key concepts and
task, affecting their efficiency. A research conducted by Zipplar, reveals that 82% of individuals
lack an effective system for managing their time, leading to 51% of their workday being
allocated to less valuable activities that affects their efficiency. In Philippines, most of the of the
students are working to sustain their financial need while studying at the same time. However,
for some time management is one of the many problems, especially those who work at the same
time. Where Individuals who are trying to shift two personalities at a time is a great challenge,
they are loaded with responsibilities that need to be accomplished both in school and their
workplace. As a working student you have to balance your academic responsibilities and work
duties. Balancing work and studies is difficult, it requires exertion of physical strength and time.
Effective time management is critical for students academically. Planning ahead and
managing your time well, will improve one’s chances of succeeding. Most of the students work
to support their selves financially, to pay their academic responsibilities and support their
families, being a student and a bread winner at the same time. In addition, working while

affects learning is when a student does not effectively use of the time allotted for studying.
Working Students must utilize their time well or follow “Study Programs”. So that, they can plan

The primary goal of this research Is to illuminate the prevalence of students concurrently
working and studying, hypothesizing that a minimum of half the students at ACLC College of

The student's time management skills is shown in Table 2. The highest frequency is
excellent (67) with a percentage of 65.04%. It implies that most of the working students in
ACLC College of Ormoc had an excellent level of time management skills. Good level had the
second highest frequency of 35 with the percentage of 33.98% of the respondents. The average
level has the lowest frequency of 1 with the percentage of 0.98% of the respondents. This means
that the students in ACLC College of Ormoc had different level of time management skills. The
overall mean of the time management skills of working students was 73.56 implying that the
respondents exhibited good time management skills. This result is similar to the study of
Pregoner, Accion, Buraquit, & Amoguis, where they explored the experiences of working senior
high school students, and claimed that the participant had a good time management.
The students academic performance is shown in Table 3. The highest frequency is Very
Satisfactory which has a frequency of 54 students and a percentage of 52.43%. It implies that
most of the working students in ACLC College of Ormoc had an average range of 85-89.
Followed by next frequency is the Outstanding which has a frequency of 25 students and the

actions or decisions.
Summary of Findings
The findings of the research support the earlier study by (Nashrullah M, 2015), indicating
a significant correlation between time management factors and students' academic success.
Simultaneously, (Sevari K., 2011) hypothesized that effective time management is associated
with improved academic performance. Similarly, the outcomes confirmed Adebayo's assertions
regarding the positive association between time management elements, such as those related to
working students, and academic performance (F., June 6, 2021). Existing studies on time
correlation, indicating that students who exhibit effective time management tends to achieve
higher academic success. These findings underscore the significance of developing and
Conclusion
1. The working Senior High School students in ACLC College of Ormoc exhibited time
management skills ranging from average to excellent levels. Overall, their time
levels, with a mean grade of 86.65, indicating a very satisfactory performance overall.
This suggests that most respondents are performing well academically, with implications
3. The analysis found a strong positive link between how well-working students manage
their time and their academic performance. This connection is meaningful enough to be
statistically significant, showing that good time management greatly affects how well
these students do in their studies. This highlights just how crucial it is for working
improving their time management skills, these students can enhance their academic
performance even while juggling work and studies. This could mean better grades and a
smoother balance between their responsibilities, helping them excel despite their busy
schedules.
Recommendations
With the results of this study, the following are recommended:
1. Study the effectiveness of time management workshops designed for working students.
Examine how these workshops help them juggle work and studies, meet deadlines, and
