ABSTRACT

A fingerprint secured smart attendance system is a device that uses biometric technology to
record the attendance of students or employees in an institution. It also enhances the security of the
premises by allowing only authorized personnel to access the rooms. The device consists of a
fingerprint module, a door locking module, a wi-fi module, and a web server. The fingerprint module
scans the fingerprint of the person and matches it with the enrolled database. The door locking
module opens or closes the door based on the authorization. The wi-fi module sends the attendance
data to the web server, which stores it in a database and processes it for further action. The web
server also provides a user interface for monitoring and managing the attendance records.
