Hello everybody!
Now it's time for you to do the task for this week. Read the instructions below. Remember that if you
need to review a topic, you can always check the course material as many times as you need. Keep in
mind that you have to present this task during week 5.

1. Outcome
Through this activity, students create a dialogue in which each one shows a photo of two friends (a man
and a woman) and describes them using the grammar and vocabulary learned in the unit.

2. Description

 Step 1: Collaborative work (get into pairs).


 Step 2: Check this week’s study material and your sessions’ notes.
 Step 3: Prepare a 2-minute dialogue with your partner.
 Situation: In the dialogue, each student introduces two friends, a girl and a boy in a
creative way (Use a photo). Ask your partner different questions about them.
 Content:
 Vocabulary and expressions from Unit 1 (Weeks 1-5)
 Countries, cities and nationalities.
 Greetings
 Personal information: Ask questions, such as "What's his/her name?", "Where
are they from?", "How old are they?"
 Farewells
 Yes/no questions like "Is he/she...?"
 1st, 2nd and 3rd person in singular and plural form
 Step 4:
 Practice the dialog with your partner.
 Practice your dialogue at a slow pace paying attention to the pronunciation and
intonation.
 Remember to transmit your personal emotions as in a real situation.
 Step 5: Once you are ready, record yourselves in multimedia in Canvas or upload your video in
Youtube /Drive and share the link in a Word format in Canvas.
 Step 6: Use the following structure:
 Cover: Your names and last names must be there. Include your photo. There are 2
options to do it: (Choose one)
 Option 1: Insert the cover in your video, if you record it in Canvas.
 Option 2: Insert the cover in a Word format with the YouTube link/Drive link.
 Example of the cover:
