Motivation: Put Me On!

The class will divided into two groups each group has 8 participants to start the game.

Direction: Put the chess pieces to the corresponding proper places within 2min.

Activity: Match Me!

1. Pawn
2. Knight
3. Bishop
4. Rook
5. Queen
6. King

Directions: Guess the definition on the screen and know what pieces of that and paste your
answer on the board.

E. Analysis
1. What are those chess pieces?
2. What are the 2 color called in chess?
F. Abstraction
1. Why do we need to learn the chess movement?
2. What happened if one chess pieces is missing?

Application : “GIHUA KO!”

Direction: 6 person will perform those role of chess pieces and do a move according of each
rules.

Evaluation:

Directions; Identify the moves of each chess piece.

BISHOP PAWN KNIGHT

1.It may move any adjoining square it perform a move known as casting.

2.It captures along diagonals without jumping over intervening pieces.

3.It may move any number of squares horizontally or vertically without jumping.

4.It moves two squares vertically and one square horizontally,or two squares horizontally
and one square vertically,jumping over other pieces.

5.It may move one vacant square directly forward,it may move two vacant squares directly
forward on its first move.

Assignment:

Relate every pieces chess move into your life in essay.

Grammar 10 pts
Total Points 20 pts
