Action Cell Sessions (TLAC) on Aligning of the Skill
in the Competency in Crafting Authentic
Assessment
Rationale DepEd Order No. 13 s. 2023 highlights the
importance of National Learning Recovery Program
Activities which is anchored in MATATAG Agenda
in addressing learning loss by enhancing the
classroom assessment as it makes the curriculum
relevant in producing competent learners of
tomorrow. One way of preparing our learners in
acquiring the skill necessary for tomorrow’s
preparation is employing assessment aligned in
the competency. This is also beneficial in
preparation for the International Large-Scale
Assessments and National Standardized Test like
National Achievement Test.

Thus, the conduct of this Learning Action Cell


is relevant as it allows the micro effort of the
school through the conduct of activity that will
enhance the capabilities of the teachers in aligning
the skill of the learning competency to the
assessment.

Activity/Training This TLAC is designed to enhance teachers’


Description knowledge, skills, values, and commitment to the
profession thereby improving teaching-learning
outcomes. This can be achieved in classroom-
based assessment activity where the desired skill
will be targeted in forms of written and
performance assessments.
