HISTORICAL CONTRIBUTION
D. and
Vectors is an exciting new content inclusion into the Ext1 syllabus that attracted 4
separate questions totalling a 6-mark allocation in the 2020 exam.
A supplementary database has been created with a focus on the new syllabus dot 2. Vectors, EXT1 V1 2020 HSC 4 MC
points. Other important database influences include NESA sample exam questions Maria starts at the origin and walks along all of the vector , then walks along all of the
and vector exam question history in other States. vector and finally along all of the vector .
This topic has been split into three categories for analysis purposes which are: 1- How far from the origin is she?

C.
HSC ANALYSIS - What to expect and common pitfalls D.
Vectors and Geometry was examined in the 1st new syllabus 2020 exam in a low
difficulty multiple choice question.
This topic requires a deep understanding of the geometry underlying vector addition
and subtraction in two planes.
The question database addresses geometric proofs specifically mentioned in the
syllabus, including; proving that rhombus diagonals bisect, mid-points of
quadrilaterals form a parallelogram and the relationship between the lengths of the
sides and diagonals of a parallelogram.
Numerous other geometric proofs and results are tested, some of which look at
intersections in a given ratio, circular geometry and triangular properties.
