HSC ANALYSIS - What to expect and common pitfalls

Vectors, Force and Velocity (2.1%) represent important question themes in our view, and have 3. Vectors, EXT1 V1 EQ-Bank 3
therefore been given their own sub-category.
The 2021 exam underlined this view with the allocation of a 3-mark question looking at vectors and A force described by the vector newtons is applied to a line which is parallel to the
velocity. This caused major problems and produced a mean mark of 31%. We recommend careful
revision of 2021 Ext1 14a and other similar examples that have been added to the database.
vector .
Force and vectors is explicitly mentioned in the new syllabus and appeared in the NESA Ext1 sample
examination in a 3-mark question. We have taken note and covered this area in our database.
