1 How to Apply
2024 - 2025
Visit MIU website and click on “Admissions 2024 – 2025 Apply Now”.

Fill in your personal information then click on “Next Step” button.
Make sure to write your name in Arabic as shown in your national ID.

Fill in your contact information then click on “Next Step” button.

Fill in your guardian information then click on “Next step” button.

Fill in your medical information then click on “Next Step” button.

Fill in your admissions information then click on “Next Step” button. Make sure to
select three different choices.
If you are applying for the new Academic Year 2024-2025, select “24F”. If you are
applying for Second Semester 2023-2024, select “24S”.
Please read the declaration carefully and select “I Agree” to proceed to the next
step.

Fill in your school and certificate information then click on “Next Step” button.

Fill in other required information then click on “Save” button.
Please read the declaration carefully and select “I Agree” to save your application.

Now, your application is successfully saved.
A confirmation will be sent to you via email including the following:
1. MIU ID
2. Admissions Portal credentials.
3. Portal link to the following:
• Reserve an online test date and time.
• Pay test fees.
• Upload soft copies of your required documents.
• Change choices of faculties.
• Change test date and time.

2 Admissions
Portal
Open the confirmation mail sent to you previously to get the portal link and login
credentials.

Insert the login credentials and press “Login” button.
Now, you are successfully logged in.

3 Upload
Documents
Click on “Upload Documents” to start uploading your required documents like
personal photo, national id, certificates, etc.

Please make sure that all uploaded documents are clear and in PDF format. Any
hazy documents/photos will be discarded.

4 Change Faculty Choices
and Test Date and Time
Click on “Change Faculties Choices” to change your choices and test date and
time as shown in the screen below.

5 Exam Fees
Payment
Click on “Exam Payment” to pay the placement test fees online.

Once you click on “Pay Now”, you will receive a confirmation mail.

6 Online Placement
Test
Online Test Hardware and Software Requirements
• Make sure that the internet connection is working properly before the test
and is not shared with other web services. Please also prepare a backup
internet connection using Mobile data.
• Make sure to install Microsoft Teams application on the device used for the
test (Computer – lap-top).

• Make sure to install Lockdown browser application on the device used for
the test (Computer – lap-top).
Click here to download LockDown Browser Application
• Make sure that your computer/Lap-top Windows version is 10. All old
versions are not integrated with Lockdown browser.
• Ensure the presence of the computer/ lap-top camera.
• The recommended browser is Google chrome.
• Make sure to connect to the computer/laptop a headphone and a
microphone that work efficiently.

Open the payment confirmation mail sent to you to get the placement test link.
Use portal credentials to login and remember to log into the placement test 15
minutes earlier.

Click on “Meeting Link” button to start the oral part on Microsoft Teams
Application.
Now, you are in the lobby room. Please wait till the examiner allows you in.
Once you finish your oral test, please close Microsoft Teams Application to move
to the next step

keep refreshing the page by hitting (F5) on keyboard till “Meeting Link” button
turns to “Exam Link”.
Click on “Exam link” to start the next part of the test.

Note: If you have (IELTS/TOEFL), you must inform the examiner during the oral
interview so as not to take the English Placement Test.

If you face any problem during the test, please contact our call center [19648]

Note: IF you are having the test on PC or Laptop, please disable antivirus and
firewall.

Test Room Requirements
• Sit in a quiet room to achieve the most suitable test environment.

• There must be no one in the room except the test taker.
• The lighting in the room should be adequate and sufficient so the test taker’s
computer image is clear to the proctor.
• The test taker’s mobile device MUST be turned off.
• The personal identification document, which has the name and the personal
photo of the test taker, must be clearly visible in front of the webcam before
the beginning of the test.
• The webcam MUST NOT be shut down throughout the test.
• The room the test taker is in must be shown immediately whenever the
proctor asks him/her to do so.

Click on “Start Quiz” to start the on-boarding process before starting the
placement test.

Read the “Terms of Use” carefully then click on “Agree”.

If you can see yourself, click on “Yes”.
Now, click on “Record Five Seconds Video” to check the webcam and mic.
Note: This video will be discarded after the check.

Read the instructions carefully and make sure of the following:
1. You shouldn’t have access to mobiles, tablets, books, notes, etc.
2. Focus on the computer monitor until the test is finished.
3. Stay alone in a quiet room. If an interruption occurs, describe briefly what
has happened.

Read the guidelines carefully.

Adjust the camera so your image would fill the whole screen and then take a
picture of yourself. If the picture is hazy or the room light is not good, please
take another picture.

Hold your National ID to the camera and take an image of it. If you don’t have a
National ID, use any card that proves your identity. If the picture is hazy or the
room light is not good, please take another picture.

Make sure there are no cellular phones, tablets, books or notes in the room you
are taking the test in. You will be asked to tilt your webcam to record what is
around you.

Your full face should be clearly visible and positioned in the middle of the screen
till the facial detection is successfully done.

Click on “Begin Exam” to start MIU placement test.

7 Medical
Examination
You will receive an e-mail for the medical examination stating the date and
time as follows:

Medical examination will be held in MIU campus.

Important Instructions
• You must come 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.
• Please make sure to print a hard copy of the medical Examination Form,
fill it out and attach 2 recent photos to the form. You will not be allowed
to undergo the medical examination without having this hard copy form
available to be submitted to MIU physicians.

and print the form from your portal.

• Non-Egyptians (International students) must bring the original of the HIV

test results. It is mandatory that you head to the Central Health
Laboratory - ‫ – المعامل المركزية لوزارة الصحة‬to conduct and receive the HIV
test results stamped.
