When upgrading from a previous version of FAS, there is a panel in the installer
to advise the user that the authentication mechanism for FAS has changed and
that their old credentials will not be carried over; they then use the
administrator (with password administrator) and master (with password

For information on how to install Fusion Application Server, see the Fusion Application
Server Installation Guide.
CentOS 7
Java
Each hardware platform hosting the Fusion Application Server requires the Oracle Java SE
Development Kit (JDK) or Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or OpenJDK which is provided from
CentOS platform. Ensure that you install the version of Java with the applicable word size for
your operating system; that is, install the 64 bit version of Java.
Unless they are required for a particular reason, it is recommended that you remove any older
versions of Java, and obtain the new installation packages from your chosen deployment-
platform manufacturer.
If you install Java from the platform manufacturer, ensure that the distribution is the standard
JDK or JRE, and is one of the supported versions listed above.
We recommend that you do not change the existing paths to the older Java package because
this may adversely affect other platform-resident applications that depend on the earlier version
of Java.
