Introductory Message
For the facilitator:
This module was collaboratively designed, developed and evaluated by the
Development and Quality Assurance Teams of SDO TAPAT to assist you in
helping the learners meet the standards set by the K to 12 Curriculum while
overcoming their personal, social, and economic constraints in schooling.
As a facilitator, you are expected to orient the learners on how to use this
module. You also need to keep track of the learners' progress while allowing
them to manage their own learning. Furthermore, you are expected to
encourage and assist the learners as they do the tasks included in the
module.
1. Use the module with care. Do not put unnecessary mark/s on any part
of the module. Use a separate sheet of paper in answering the
exercises.
2. Don‟t forget to answer What I Know before moving on to the other
activities included in the module.
3. Read the instruction carefully before doing each task.
4. Observe honesty and integrity in doing the tasks and checking your
answers.
5. Finish the task at hand before proceeding to the next.
6. Return this module to your teacher/facilitator once you are through
with it.

Verb is an action word.
Present form of the verb is formed by adding s to the verb if the subject
is singular and no s to the verb if the subject is plural.
It can be used to denote actions that express repetition, habit or
generalization.

These words are called action words or verbs. They are in the past form
of the verb.

What’s the meaning?
Past Tense
Actions words that denote actions that are already completed are
called past forms of the verb. Except irregular verbs, past forms of the
verb are formed by adding ed or d to the main form of the verb.
Irregular verbs formed their past tense in a different pattern.
Examples:

I look at the skies. I looked at the skies.
Past tense often uses time expressions. It indicates that the action
already started or completed These time expressions are yesterday,
last month, recently, lately, last year, two months ago, etc.

I travelled to Europe last year.

Using Future Form of the Verb

The action word in future tense is will get. The future form of the
verb in the second picture is will end.
These words are in the future form of the verb or future tense
Future tense denotes action that is not yet completed. The action
has not been started. It is formed by using will or shall + main form
of the verb.
For example:
Amy will visit her sick grandmother in the hospital next
week. The COVID-19 pandemic shall pass
