Cloud Developer

Shift: Mid-shift (1pm or 2pm start)


Length: Full-time Permanent
Client location: UK

As our Cloud Developer, you will be a key member of our software development team, responsible for
designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based applications and services. You will work
closely with cross-functional teams to develop cloud solutions that meet business needs and drive
innovation. As a hands-on member of the team, Your expertise in the following technologies will be
essential for the success of this role:

● Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-based applications and services using cloud
platforms, primarily relying on .NET Core.
● Implement efficient messaging using easyNetQ and build real-time communication channels
with SignalR Core.
● Utilise MongoDB for data storage, modelling, and optimizing performance of cloud
applications.
● Write comprehensive unit tests using NUnit to ensure robustness and reliability in
cloud-based applications.
● Collaborate with front-end developers to design and build user interfaces using Angular and
NGXS state management.
● Use Docker extensively to containerised applications, simplifying deployment and enhancing
scalability in our cloud environments.
● Optimise cloud applications for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency, ensuring high
availability and fault tolerance.
● Implement security best practices and compliance standards in cloud solutions, ensuring
data protection and privacy.
● Work with our DevOps team to set up continuous integration and continuous deployment
pipelines.
● Debug and resolve issues related to cloud applications and provide technical support to the
development team.
● Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API
documentation, and deployment guides.
● Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior developers and collaborate
effectively with other teams.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Skills:
● Proven experience as a Cloud Developer or similar role with a strong background in
cloud-based application development.
● Expertise in one or more cloud platforms ( Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) and proficiency in
cloud-native services.
● Solid programming skills in C#, with significant experience using .NET Core for cloud
application development.
● Strong experience with easyNetQ, SignalR Core, MongoDB, NUnit, Angular, NGXS, and Docker
as mentioned above.
● Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools like Terraform
● Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
● Familiarity with security concepts and best practices for cloud environments.
● Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality
solutions.
● Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across our teams
