Introduction:

Agent:
Good Morning, I need to speak with the person responsible for listing in the online yellow pages and
who would that be.

Secretary :
MAY I ASK WHOSE CALLING?

Agent: Certainly, this is ___________________ (agent’s first and last name) and your name is?

Secretary: Barbara. WHAT COMPANY ARE YOU WITH?

Agent: I’m with US Directory . I need to speak with the person who is authorized to make changes on
your yellow page listing and who would that be.

Secretary: WHAT IS THIS REGARDING?

Agent: We are calling about your listing with us; and who would I need to speak with regarding this.

B..We are updating our information and I need to get some verification before our deadline; and I’ll
wait while you direct my call thanks! (smile)

Secretary: I CAN HELP YOU THAT WOULD BE ME

Agent: Great. What is your title or position with the company?

Continue:
(Acceptable title: Owner, President, CEO, VP of Marketing and Sales, VP of Operations, Director of
Operations, Partner.

Acceptable Title:
Agent: Thank you, I appreciate you taking my call (go to purpose of call)

on our site to make sure your business information is accurate.

Please correct me if some of what I have in front of me is wrong. (No pause)

Decision Maker:
I DON'T HAVE A LISTING WITH YOU

Agent:
Actually, you are listed in our directory but in alphabetical order. People can only find you if they
know your business name.
That’s why we are calling about your business listing on our site to make sure your business
information is accurate and be seen by potential buyers in your local area.

Decision maker:
YES. But I’m not interested.

I apologize, I must have not made myself clear; you are already listed in our directory, I have your

who are looking for your type of business. We are in the process of updating the current listing you
have with us, and to accomplish this, I need to verify some information if you don’t mind. ‘

I don’t think that’s important/Valuable

Rebuttal:
I respect that (name of prospect). So, what you are saying is, you get enough business that it keeps
your business busy and profitable all year round is that correct? (Continue regardless of their answer)

Most companies I speak with are always open to additional sources that will help to bring in new
customers, providing of course if it was cost effective for them.
Rejections:
I’m really not interested

Rebuttals:

I suggest you give your listing a try. If anyone is looking online for your type of business and your
listing comes up during a search, $ 49.95 per month, that’s less than $2 a day. If after you give a try
you are not happy with the results of your listing…> then we simply do not deserve the right to have
your continued business; you may stop your listing at anytime.

If you could get new and repeat customers above what you get now how important would that be to
your business?

Here is the bottom line, it only costs $ 49.95 per month (less than $2 per day) when someone does a
Google, Yahoo or Bing search looking for your category of business in your local area and your listing
pops up and they click it.

Rejection:
You said it’s a free listing then why I need to pay now?
