ANALYSIS:

1. Project topic AND description:

Schedule Management Program – A program written to aid the company Varien in maintaining and keeping up with their
scheduled meetings across their various sites. It will allow the scheduling of meetings if an available time slot is open for the
user, it will add and remove customers if they have no current meetings, it will add and remove therapists if they don’t have
any meetings, it will detail the reason for the meeting, it will keep up with the therapists’ schedule in a report, it will keep
up with the customers’ schedule, it will have a report noting the number of different sessions per month.

2. Project purpose/goals:
Varien wants to keep track of its scheduling in the various locations that it has that way they don’t have overlap in
appointments. Currently they are using a shared excel sheet to try and keep the appointments valid. This takes extra time
and they wish to have a smoother way to keep up with them. Currently all reports are done by hand and they would like to
see some automation in this regaurd. After much consideration, a stand-alone program seemed to be currently the best
way to get their needs met.

While there are many programs on the market Varien could not find one that would suit all their needs and be user
friendly. One of the necessary features was that it must check to see if either the therapist or the customer has an
appointment for or during the time before an appointment could be booked. They have had issues with this and
overlooking it in the past and need it to become better suited for their clients.

1. Describe how you will approach the execution of your project:

 The first step is to organize the information that I have at hand and get it ready for planning.
 Next I will complete the wire frame model of the program and detail the functions throughout
 Then I will construct a UML diagram to get a visualization of the program
 After finalizing the design I will begin to get the realistic mock-up made.
 Build and Develop a plan that is actionable and takes care of Varien’s needs.
 Code and test. Repeat and debug until all tests are passed and no other bugs can be found.
