SPSS Statistics Write-Up Assignment - Quantitative Analysis

The response should be 750 words excluding references and an appendix.

Using the Gender, Weight and Height dataset provided, you must complete a series of tasks and write up your results in
a report style.

Instructions

Using the dataset, you will need to:


• Create a hypothesis/research question you can test using the data provided, using correlation analysis.
• Clean your dataset.
• Conduct descriptive statistics and check that your data meet the assumptions for correlation analysis.
• Conduct the correlation analysis.

Your report will then need to include:


• Your chosen hypothesis/research question and a brief rationale for it.
• How you cleaned your dataset.
• Descriptive statistics.
• Results of your correlation analysis – ensuring these are written in APA style.

You are required to submit the following two documents:


1. Your written report.
2. Your SPSS Output file (showing your analysis output).
3. All SPSS tables / Screenshots add to Appendix
4. All numbers from SPSS tables and screenshots must be referenced and explained in the text.

Other requirements
- Use British English
- USE APA Referencing are not older than 2013
- Don’t use internet sources for references
- Do not use / copy from GPT chat or similar AI. This will be strictly checked.

You need to report on the impossible and missing values (how many did you have). Then explain how you identify
outliers and how you dealt with those. You then needed to check the assumptions of the parametric correlation test.
Check the normality of your data (histograms, Q-Q plots, skewness and kurtosis, K-S test), the data type and
linearity.You can correlate only two-level categorical data with continuous using Pearson correlation.

Justify your research with scientific evidence. In your discussion, reflect on your data. In this part report, you reflect on
the literature you mentioned in your introduction and the limitations and future suggestion of your research. Add
citations and reference section in your report.
