GENERAL RULES
The organizing committee reserves the right to
change the schedule/procedures for the events due
to unexpected consequences during the
championship
The Student Council, Sports Committee and its
volunteers shall not be held responsible for any
injury/mishap sustained during the Championship
The entire team is expected to carry College ID on
the match day.
The tournament will feature group stage matches,
with the qualifying teams advancing to the knockout
rounds.
All the team members should be from the same
branch, if any non-branch player is found the team
would be disqualified.
All teams should be present at the venue 1 hour
before their match time
After the given reporting time, we will wait for MAX
10 minutes. After that, the opponent will be given a
BYE.

GENERAL RULES
Regarding any dispute, query or complaint, the
decision of the organising Committee will be final
and must be strictly adhered to at all times.
No misbehaviour on or off the field will be tolerated.
Inappropriate behaviour and failure to follow
guidelines shall lead to direct disqualifications.
Any form of cheating resulting in unfair gameplay is
strictly prohibited,any such act will result in
immediate disqualifications.
Decision of the council would be final for all matters.

FOOTBALL
DATES : 28th April
LOCATION : Bhavans Ground
TEAM COMPOSITION:
Squad : 16 players (11 playing + 5 substitutes)
Minimum 3 players must be present from each year in SE&TE team

GENERAL RULES OF PLAY:


All general rules of football will be followed.
It will be an inter-branch tournament with 11+5 players (11
playing + 5 substitutes) with the goalkeeper being included in the
starting 11.
Match time: 12-3-12
3 substitutions will be allowed in a game (subs will be non-rolling).
A team would be disqualified if they fail to show up within 10
minutes of their match time.
Offside rules will be present.
Every match will have 3 professional referees ( 1 Main Referee + 2
Linesman ).
Decision of the referee would be considered final under all
circumstances.
A team should notify the referee for all substitutions.

FOOTBALL
The referee can ban a player/team in case of misconduct
In case any team-member is found guilty of misconduct
towards any of the referees, that team would be disqualified
with immediate effect.
If found time wasting on purpose, players will be given a yellow
card.
Yellow and Red card would be according to the Referee’s
decision
Getting 2 yellow cards during the same game would result in a
red card and immediate suspension from the current as well as
the next match for the player.
If a penalty is awarded during a match, teams will NOT be
allowed to change goalkeepers for the penalty.
Only players on the field during the final whistle will be allowed
to take penalties.
Goalkeepers may be changed for penalties after the match.
It is advised that the team all wear the same colour jerseys and
just in case of clashes in colour keep another coloured jersey as
a backup
Decision of the organising committee on all matters would be
considered as final.

CRICKET
DATES : 20th and 21st April
LOCATION : Bhavans Ground
TEAM COMPOSITION :
Squad : 15 Players (11 playing + 4 substitutes)
Minimum 3 players must be present from each year in SE&TE teams

GENERAL RULES OF PLAY :


Players should belong to the particular branch only.
Each inning would comprise of 5 overs.
Each inning is expected to be completed within 25 minutes
Matches will be played with a hard tennis ball.
Bowling will be overarm only.
In the event of a tie during the league stage or the playoff match, a
super over will be conducted and the further rules would be followed
to determine the winner.
Fair play and sportsmanship are expected from all participants,
players, and spectators.
If any player cheats or behaves poorly during the tournament, the
organizers can decide to take away points or even remove them from
the game entirely.
All other ICC Rules to be followed.

CRICKET
BATTING / BOWLING RULES :
Allotting a runner to batsman is not allowed.
The over format will be 2-1-1-1. This means one bowler can bowl a
maximum of 2 overs throughout the entire innings. The remaining 3
overs must be bowled by different bowlers.
There’s no concept of a mini-over.
Mankading is not allowed.
Bowling action of the bowler should be proper. Umpires decision
would be final in this case.
If there is any discrepancy in bowling action, first a warning no-ball
will be given. Even then if the action persists, the bowler will be
discarded, never to bowl again in the tournament. He should be
replaced by a new bowler. The new bowler will continue & complete
the remaining over.
Only one bouncer ball allowed per over.
If the bowler exceeds the limit of bounce then it will be given no ball.
Once a bowler starts an over, they cannot be replaced until it is
completed.
A sidearm call is mandatory for the bowler before delivery. Failure to
do so will result in a no-ball.
All other ICC rules to be followed.

FIELDING RULES :
First 2 overs would be considered as power play overs.
During power play overs only two fielders are allowed outside the
30 yard field mark and if not so then it will be given a straight no-
ball.
After the power play overs i.e from 3rd over maximum 5 fielders
are allowed outside the 30 yard field mark and if not so then it will
be given a straight no-ball.
Wicket-Keeper is compulsory.
Rolling Substitution(Fielding) is allowed only after informing the
umpire.

LOCATION : SPCE Volleyball Court
FORMAT : 3 sets of 15 - 15 - 15
TEAM COMPOSITION :
6 players + 2 substitutes (1 girl compulsory in playing 6 at all times)
Minimum 2 players from each year must be present in SE&TE teams

GENERAL RULES OF PLAY:


TO SCORE A POINT :-
A team scores a point :-
By successfully landing the ball on the opponent’s court;
when the opponent team commits a fault;
If the serving team wins a rally, it scores a point and continues
to serve.
If the receiving team wins a rally, it scores a point and it must
serve next.

HITTING BALL :-
Each team must play within its own playing area and space .
The ball may, however, be retrieved from beyond its own free
zone.

VOLLEYBALL
A hit is any contact with the ball by a player in play. The team is
entitled to a maximum of three hits (in addition to blocking), for
returning the ball. If more are used, the team commits the fault
of “FOUR HITS”
A player may not hit the ball two times consecutively 4) The
ball may touch any part of the body.
The ball must not be caught and/or thrown. It can rebound in
any direction.

FAULTS :-
FOUR HITS: a team hits the ball four times before returning it.
ASSISTED HIT: a player takes support from a team-mate or any
structure/ object in order to hit the ball within the playing area.
CATCH: the ball is caught and/or thrown; it does not rebound
from the hit.
DOUBLE CONTACT: a player hits the ball twice in succession or
the ball contacts various parts of his/her body in succession.
LINE CUT:- Stepping on the line during serve.

PLAYER AT NET AND AT OPPONENT PLAY AREA :-


Contact with the net by a player between the antennae, during
the action of playing the ball, is a fault.
When the ball is driven into the net, causing it to touch an
opponent, no fault is committed.

VOLLEYBALL
SERVICE RULES AND ORDER:
when the serving team wins the rally, the player (or his/her
substitute) who served before, serves again;
Fixed Service Rotation.
The ball shall be hit with one hand or any part of the arm after
being tossed or released from the hand(s).
Only one toss or release of the ball is allowed. Dribbling or
moving the ball in the hands is permitted.
A service executed before the referee's whistle is canceled and
First warning will be given. For the second time the opponent
will be given points.

TIMEOUTS ;-
Each team may request a maximum of two timeout per game.

TEAM COMPOSITION:
For FEs:
8 players and 1 substitute.
Substitution of players are only allowed after one half is over and
not between the game. Referees must be informed of the
substitution.

For SEs and TEs:


8 players and 1 substitute
Substitution of players are only allowed after one half is over and
not between the game. Referees must be informed of the
substitution.
Minimum 2 TEs and 2 SEs should be there in playing 8. The rest can
be any combination of SEs and TEs.

DODGEBALL
GENERAL RULES OF PLAY:
Hands must not be used for blocking the ball by any player inside
the circle.
The attacking team should ensure that the ball hits only below the
waist.
All the attackers must stick to the circle at all times.
There will be 2 defenders in the circle, at all times during the game
except for the last player. Last player standing will have to defend
alone.
Defender will be eliminated if the ball hits below the waist with a
maximum of one bounce on the ground. Attackers will receive 1
point for each defender eliminated
3 points would be awarded for the last defender instead of one.
Faults such as hitting the ball above the waist or stepping on the
line would be counted.
3 faults of the team would result in deduction of 1 point. If the
same player commits a fault (hitting a player above waist) twice
then he/she will be disqualified for that particular set.
In such a case, a substitute cannot replace the disqualified player.
The team will have to play one-man down

DODGEBALL
Each half would consist of 5 mins. After which the sides will be
changed.
In case the ball goes out of the circle, the timer would still go on.
Players defending are not allowed to bend, crouch, kneel etc.
Substitutes will only be allowed to replace after an entire half.
New defenders entering in the circle cannot be aimed immediately
after entering. He/she can be aimed after 2 throws.
Teams need to report half an hour before reporting time. lf a team
reports 10 mins after its given time, opponent will be given a bye.
There may be severe time/ score / player eliminating penalty
imposed if the above mentioned rules are broken by any side.

TUG-OF-WAR
DATES : 20th & 21st April
LOCATION : Bhavan’s Ground

TEAM COMPOSITION :-
9 players + 2 substitutes
Minimum 1 girl should be present in playing 9 at all times
At Least three players must be from each year.(FOR SE-TE only)
All the teams are allowed to keep 2 substitutions. (substitution allowed
in new pull. The referee must be informed of the subsititution)

GENERAL RULES :-
Looping the rope won't be allowed(only anchor will be allowed to
loop a single loop around the waist)
no taking the rope over the shoulders
Each match will consist of three pulls, best of the three
Win a pull and gain one point
Win a match and gain one extra point
Misconduct of any team would result in the disqualification of the
respective branch from the sport
