ABOUT EDC
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell at SGGSCC is a student-
led organization dedicated to promoting entrepreneurial spirit
within the student community. Recognized as the top
entrepreneurship cell within the University of Delhi, we recently
achieved the impressive 5th position out of over 900 teams at
the prestigious National Entrepreneurship Challenge hosted by
IIT Bombay in 2024
.
Our vision is to cultivate a society of self-motivated individuals
infused with a strong entrepreneurial drive, encouraging
innovation, risk-taking, social responsibility, and the creative
execution of business concepts. With a membership exceeding
80 individuals, we strive to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs and
propagate the culture of entrepreneurship throughout the
campus.
WHAT IS E-SUMMIT?
The annual flagship event known a E-Summit, attracts over 1500
attendees from Delhi University, IITs, FMS, and beyond, with plans
to grow to 2000 attendees this year. It serves as a gathering for
aspiring entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders to discuss
innovative ideas and businesses. E-Summit focuses on fostering
entrepreneurship among college students and e-cells, providing
networking opportunities and knowledge exchange. It features
competitions like Corporate Conclave and Phoenix Pitch, with over
6000 nationwide registrations in 2023 and expected growth this
year. Participants engage in unique challenges such as boardroom
simulations and entrepreneurial pitches. Events like Lights. Camera.
Auction combine Bollywood themes with entrepreneurial challenges,
offering learning experiences, networking, and a platform for
innovative ventures.

NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP CHALLENGE, IIT BOMBAY
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Sri Guru Gobind Singh
College of Commerce, Delhi University participated in the National
Entrepreneurship Challenge at IIT Bombay, secured the 5th position
out of over 900 teams in the NEC held at IIT Bombay in 2024. Our team
was among the top 7 teams from over 900 colleges across India,
qualifying for the NEC Finals in 2023.

The highlight of the summit was the Ten Minute Million, India's first on-
spot funding event, which captivated participants and attendees alike.
E-Summit provided a valuable blend of learning and enjoyment,
showcasing the exceptional talent and innovation of students.
