decide if the data presented by the Supplier satisfies the requirements of the test
outlined below.

5.4 The vendor's coating procedure shall be approved by the RUS prior to coating. A
previously approved procedure does not require reapproval on subsequent jobs as long
as it is unchanged.

5.5 Only Saudi Aramco-approved coating products in accordance with SAES-H-002V shall
be used.

6. Modifications to ASTM A775/A775M – 19

The following paragraph numbers refer to ASTM A775/A775M - 19, which is part of this

5.1 (Exception) Delete “one of the following specifications: A615,A706, A996, or
A1035 [A615M, A706M, A996M, or A1035M]”
5.2 (Addition) The Vendor shall run gel time, moisture content and DSC tests for
each batch of powder prior to use. A record shall be kept for at least 1 year of
the test results in a form suitable to the Saudi Aramco Inspector.
5.3 (Exception) Delete “if specified in the order.”
5.5 (New) Blasting abrasives shall be steel shot, steel grit, or other commercial
abrasives having less than 50 ppm sulfates, 50 ppm chlorides and calcium
carbonate shall be 1.0% by weight. The Vendor shall furnish chemical test
analysis certificates for each batch of abrasive used.
5.6 (New) The use of reclaimed powder shall not exceed the manufacturer's
recommendations and in no case shall it be greater than 10% by weight without
written approval from the RUS.
6.1 (Addition) The temperature of the steel reinforcing bars shall be at least 3°C
above the dew point during abrasive blasting.
6.3 (Addition) Detection of Chlorides using Potassium Ferricyanide shall be done
on the blasted steel reinforcing bars in accordance with ASTM A934/A934M -
