INTRODUCTION –
India being one of the most flourishing country among any other
countries in this existing world, carrying the richest culture and
customs with it have been observed to lose it’s honesty in this world
of modesty of being a developed country , our website is just a
initiative to prevent this to happen . Bringing the true authentication
of different parts of India in its truest form at your doorstep and a step
towards this land which offered us with tremendous number of rich
resources.
“ANTIQUE INDIA…”
Shhh……..legacy at the doorstep!
As the name suggests, our company is to bring the relic of the ancient
culture that is been difficult to find but yet seen celebrated at times all
around the year. Antique India is not just a gifting website but also a
centre of interest for the ethnicity that every men and women is
carrying in them . this website provides you with different catalogues
from all 29 states over the India of their HANDICRAFT AND
TEXTILE ADORMENT OF EVERY PARTICULAR STATE WITH
A BRIEF OVERVIEW TO ITS RELEVANCE IN THAT
PARTICULAR AREA. We create a linkage between the local
artisans from different parts of the country directly to our site , which
also may help them to boost their moral to keep that essence safe of
their true motherland in themselves and would let them to land up at a
standardized platform through their talent.
When the history of India’s crafts and textiles is written, it will
speak of treasures that once occupied a pride of place in the lives of
royalty. These are today lost in the annals of time, fighting to
survive the dynamics of the contemporary marketplace.
However, there is a breed of revivalists and designers who are
celebrating languishing textiles and crafts through contemporary
interpretations that awaken us to their threatened survival. Their
work is a testament to the reality that even if a handful of
connoisseurs come together, these looms will not fall silent.
As seen in today’s time where people are tend to migrate often from
their hometowns to IT CITIES or metropolitan cities in search of
better opportunities , in all of this a part that suffers the most is the
race of the individuals belongingness . So to come up with that sense
of problem our website provides you with large spread of handicrafts
and textile embroidered items originally from that place at a
reasonable prices.
Different art forms arise from different social and linguistic groups.
Each art form has its own cultural significance and history. But
gradually, these crafts are dying out with increased modernisation and
industrialisation. In this fast technology run world, people have
started to shift their attention from the traditional handicrafts and
handloom to new innovations. With fewer customers, many craftsmen
and artisans are getting poorer day by day and forced to take up
alternative occupations.
Crafts like Mithila paintings, Roghan painting, Dhokra craft Parsi &
Toda embroidery are endangered. Even the traditional art of puppetry,
handicrafts of Assam and Nagaland are dying out slowly. The art
forms like Kasut practised in North Karnataka also on the verge of
dwindling. A similar fate is shared by Patan Patola, an art form
practiced in Kutch. One of the main reasons for the diminishing
traditional arts in the post-independence period was the colonial
apathy which lar Under the Corporate Social Responsibility
Act, 2013 provisions have been made to promote traditional arts and
handicrafts. Gels promoted the foreign made goods in India.
A fruitful step in this direction will be if one can provide patronage to
artisans and products. To face the over increasing competition outside
it is crucial to expose the artisans towards self-reliant and sustainable
practices.
