EX No:1 Absolute and Relative reference with Protection

AIM:

To create a Excel program to do absolute and relative reference with protection.


ALGORITHM:
Step 1: Start the program and create a table
Step 2: Select the cell that contain the formula.
Step 3: Enter the formula to calculate the desired values.
Step 4: Then press enter and the formula calculated and result will be displayed
Step 5: Locate the fill handlein the bottom –right corner of the desired cell
Step 6:Click and drag the fill handle over the cells you want to fill.
Step 7: Release the mouse. Formula will be copied to the cells with relative references
Step 8: For absolute reference enter the formula (eg. (B4*C4)*$E$2)
Step 9:Repeat the steps 4,5&6.
Step 10: Release the mouse. The formula will be copied with absolute references
Step 11: Then in the review menu select protect sheet option enter the pin and press ok to
protect the sheet
Step 12: We can unprotect the sheet using the same menu and enter the pin to unprotect
Step 5: Stop the program

EX No:2 Vlookup with exact and approximate match
AIM:
To create a Excel worksheet to do Vlookup with exact and approximate match.
ALGORITHM:
Step 1: Start the program and create a table.
Step 2: Then example for Vlookup created
Step 3: Then to create a exact match, formula entered
Step 4: Then to create a approximate match, formula entered
Step 5: Stop the program

AIM:
To create a Excel worksheet for the exam application with common field
ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Start the program and create a table.

Step 2: After entering choose the option data validation from data

Step 3: In the dialog box given we can give the values to the three tabs that settings, input message,
error alert.
Step 4: This will be applied to all the fields in the table.

Step 5: Stop the program

AIM:

To create a Excel worksheet to do sorting and filtering


ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Start the program and create a form.


Step 2: Enter the student details in excel.
Step 3: Then in the file menu choose sort and in the dialog box conditions were
specified
Step 4: Then click the filter icon and choose filter option in each filed or the field
required to filter
Step 5: Stop the program

AIM:

To create a Excel worksheet to do pivot table and chart.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Start the program and create a table.

Step 2: Then choose pivot table option in the insert menu

Step 3: In the dialog box given select a range then press enter
Step 4: Now the pivot table created then we need to choose the filed to displat pivot table
Step 5: Then choose the pivot chart from insert menu
Step 6: In the dialog box given choose the range and press enter
Step 7: Now the chart is displayed we need to select the field to draw the chart
Step 8: We can change the type of chart

Step 9: Stop the program.

AIM:
To create a Excel worksheet for creating the slicers
ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Start the program.

Step 2: Create the pivot table

Step3: Now choose the option slicers from insert menu

Step 4: It is aasking for the field to choose to filter

Step 5: Now we select any one column then press enter

Step 6: Now the slicer created for the table with the particular field

Step 7: Stop the program.

Step 5: Now perform all the operations in the menu given

Step 4: Choose the option bar chart from insert menu
Step 5: Now the line chart and bar chart will be displayed in worksheet

Ex No: 10 Create a Excel program for sharing charts with powerpoint
AIM:

To write a VB program for sharing charts with powerpoint.


ALGORITHM:
Step 1: Start the program.
Step 2: Open the powerpoint and open the excel data for which we already created chart
Step 3: Now select the chart and choose copy from the home tab.
Step 4: Now open the powerpoint, open new slide.
Step 5: Now right click on the slide, and choose use destination theme and link data(L)
Step 6: Now whenever any change in data in excel, automatically the change will be updated in
powerpoint
Step 7:Stop the program
