background of the Industry or User based Problem for Problem.
Abstract :

This micro-project focuses on leveraging augmented reality (AR) to revolutionize the traditional
approach to nail care, customization, and e-commerce. The project addresses a prevalent user-based
problem in the beauty industry, where existing methods lack personalization and real-time insights
into nail health. The objective is to empower users to seamlessly scan their nails, customize designs,
assess nail health, and proceed to purchase products or schedule appointments.

Emphasizing the significance of augmented reality as a technological backbone, the project offers
users a dynamic platform for the virtual exploration of various nail designs in real-time. The aim is to
bridge the gap between the digital and physical realms, providing a holistic and personalized nail
care experience.

The literature survey delves into the technological landscape, highlighting gaps in existing solutions
related to AR, nail customization, and health monitoring. Current challenges in nail care and
emerging e-commerce trends in the beauty industry are explored, providing a foundation for problem
identification and specification.

The proposed methodology outlines a detailed action plan, encompassing augmented reality
integration, nail health monitoring, customization features, and robust e-commerce functionalities.
Notably, this website is created using AWS (Amazon Web Services). The plan includes measures for
order placement, appointment scheduling, user engagement, and iterative testing to ensure a seamless
user experience.

Overall, this project aims to contribute to the evolution of the beauty and wellness industry by
providing users with an innovative and personalized approach to nail care, facilitated by the
capabilities of Amazon Web Services.
Chapter 1: Introduction and background of the Industry or User
based Problem for Problem.

Introduction:
The beauty and wellness industry have experienced a transformative shift with the
integration of innovative technologies. This chapter introduces a groundbreaking
project, a nail scanning website, poised to revolutionize user engagement with nail
care and beauty customization. Through the incorporation of augmented reality (AR),
users embark on a distinctive journey of personalized nail design, health monitoring,
and seamless e-commerce experiences.

Background of the Beauty Industry:

The beauty industry is continually evolving, driven by consumer demand for
customized and technologically advanced solutions. Nail care, in particular, represents
a significant aspect of this industry, with users seeking personalized and convenient
ways to enhance their nail aesthetics.

User-Based Problem:
Amidst the vast offerings in the beauty sector, there exists a user-based problem that
this project aims to address. Traditional nail care methods often lack personalization
and real-time insights into nail health. Users struggle to find a comprehensive platform
that integrates customization, health monitoring, and easy product acquisition.

Objective of the Project:

The primary objective of this project is to develop a nail scanning website that
leverages augmented reality to provide users with a holistic and personalized nail care
experience. By addressing the identified user-based problem, the website aims to
empower users to effortlessly scan their nails, customize designs, assess nail health,
and seamlessly proceed to purchase desired products or schedule appointments.
Significance of Augmented Reality:
Augmented reality serves as the technological backbone of this project, allowing users
to virtually try out various nail designs in real-time. This immersive experience not
only enhances user engagement but also bridges the gap between the digital and
physical realms, providing a dynamic platform for creative expression.
Chapter 2: Literature Survey for Problem Identification and Specification.

introduction:
The literature survey in this chapter serves as a foundation for understanding the existing landscape
of technologies and solutions related to nail care, augmented reality, and e-commerce in the beauty
industry. By reviewing relevant studies and advancements, we aim to identify specific problems and
specifications that our nail scanning website project addresses.

Technological Landscape:
The beauty industry has witnessed a surge in technological innovations, particularly in the realm of
augmented reality. Existing studies highlight the transformative impact of AR in enhancing user
engagement and personalization within beauty applications. In the context of nail care, however, a
comprehensive integration of AR for customization, health monitoring, and e-commerce
functionalities is yet to be fully explored.

Current Challenges in Nail Care:

Literature reveals that traditional nail care methods often lack individualization and real-time
monitoring. Users face challenges in visualizing and customizing nail designs before application, and
there is a noticeable absence of platforms offering a holistic approach to nail health assessment and
seamless product acquisition.

Augmented Reality in Beauty:

Studies showcase the successful implementation of augmented reality in beauty applications,
emphasizing its role in allowing users to virtually try out products in real-time. The integration of
AR in nail care can potentially bridge the gap between imagination and reality, providing users with
a dynamic and interactive platform for nail design exploration.

E-commerce Trends in Beauty:

The literature survey also explores current trends in e-commerce platforms for beauty products.
Studies emphasize the importance of user-friendly interfaces, personalized recommendations, and
streamlined checkout processes. Integrating these elements into the nail scanning website becomes
crucial for providing users with a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience.
Gap in Existing Solutions:
Despite the advancements in beauty technology, there is a noticeable gap in existing solutions
concerning a comprehensive platform that seamlessly combines augmented reality for nail
customization, health monitoring features, and an integrated e-commerce system.
Chapter 3: Proposed Detailed Methodology of solving the identified problem with
action plan.
