STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE A 3D DESIGN

★ IN CONVERTING TO 3D DISPLAY
- For the purpose of accessing components for 3d designs.
- Can also switch between the options in the Custom model views and visual
styles.

1. Open the AutoCAD software.

2. On the status bar (present at the bottom of the screen), click on the Workspace
Switching button, as shown below:

A drop-up list will appear, as shown below:

3. Click on the 3D Modeling option, as shown below:

We can also select a 3D Basics option from the drop-up list.

4. Change the Custom Model View to SE Isometric.

It gives the 3D view of an object. The other options, such as top, front, etc., shows the TOP
and FRONT view of that object.

We can also change it to SW Isometric and can switch between other options accordingly.

5. Change the Custom Visual Styles to Conceptual.

We can switch between different styles according to the requirements.

For example, Wireframe displays the wired structure of the drawn 3D object or figure, while
Shaded will display the figure as shaded.

6. Activate the Ortho and Polar mode on the status bar.

7. Adjust the UCS or User Coordinate System.

All the above steps are necessary to implement before starting with 3D.

★ EXAMPLE OF ACTUAL COMPOSITION OF 3D DESIGN

1. Shift to SE Isometric - this will turn your UCS into a 3d Coordination with Z as the
3rd axis.
2. Command UCSICON and Select Noorigin.
3. Use Line command to create a rectangle.
4. Command PRESSPULL (by 4 scales in this figure).

5. Select Visual Styles and choose Shaded with Edges.

6. In creating a hole, First click Extract Edges then Copy Edges navigate via copy,
direction and distance for the specific location of the hole.
7. Command PRESSPULL and navigate downward to produce a hole.

8. In creating a rised rectangle, follow step 6 then command PRESSPULL.

9. Repeat step for the other rised rectangle.

10. In creating circle in the rectangle, just select Center, Radius then PRESSPULL.

11. In creating rectangle drawer, select rectangle and click in a location then
PRESSPULL.

12. Double click to access shade color for the 3d Design.
