INFORMATION BULLETIN 2022-2023

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT, SMES

Dear Prospective Parents,

Higher education is the touchstone by which the progress of a nation is measured in today’s times. As the country stands
poised on the brink of an exciting future, higher education is as important as administrative policy. Today, the society, the
academia and the industry need to stand together and share their commitment, enthusiasm and expertise in order to create a
responsible, progressive and skilled citizenry. In keeping with this very spirit, Maharaja Surajmal Institute has been focusing
on providing all-round, relevant and comprehensive education to students since its inception in an environment that impresses
upon ethics, values and mutual respect.
Whenever I am asked to define education, the following quote always comes to my mind “The whole purpose of education is
to turn mirrors into windows”. Education is the fountainhead of growth, progress and development in any part of the world.
Its contribution has been responsible for upliftment of the society, in shaping the moral fibre of the student community and
contributing to the nation’s well–being by producing the bright minds of tomorrow. We at the Maharaja Surajmal Institute
have woven the tapestry of an effective and holistic education system in a way that prepares the students to be an effective and
efficient workforce and make the best use of the opportunities that the industry sends their way.
The courses offered by our institute not only enable the students to develop a gamut of skills but also apply them to real–world
problems, thus fast–tracking their careers. The processes of teaching, training and evaluation follow the latest pattern which
makes the education system at Maharaja Surajmal Institute in sync the latest trends in technology and commerce. Education,
thus, rather than being lecture oriented, didactic and traditional, is more student–driven.
We at Maharaja Surajmal Institute have a vision of student empowerment with an inclination for creative and cohesive group
functioning in a global scenario. It is not about merely teaching etiquette, but it’s about making them ‘industry–ready’ to
face the challenges placed before them in the dynamic corporate environment, thus bridging the gap between education and
the industry. Maharaja Surajmal Institute has gained immense recognition for the same and have also been crowned “India
Today’s Best College in 2021 in North India”. Our students have topped the University and bagged 37 Gold Medals in
Academics till date.
Nowadays where parents as well as students constantly worry about studies, the relevance of it, the quality of guidance and
the learning environment, as well as the wholesomeness of the living environment, we at Maharaja Surajmal Institute firmly
believe that the best of each of these worlds is present in our beautiful, lush green campus. I invite you all, dear students, to
walk through our gates to feel the positivity vibrating in the atmosphere at Maharaja Surajmal Institute, and join us in making
it a truly world–class institution.

Wishing you all the very best in all times to come.

KAPTAN SINGH
PRESIDENT - SMES

MAHARAJA SURAJMAL INSTITUTE

MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR, MSI

Dear Prospective Parents,

As we step into this new academic year, brimming with hope and dreams of scaling new heights, I wish to encourage you to
remain focused on your academic goals and to forge ahead on the positive path that you have chosen.
As Mahatma Gandhi said, “By Education I mean an all-round drawing out of the best in child and man-body, mind and spirit”.
Education is a key component for the overall development of the society. The role of education is definitely not limited to
giving and grasping knowledge and theory, but it transcends much beyond just awarding degree and certificate to the students.
The ultimate goal of education is the discovery of the meaning and the fulfilment of life and all mankind as well as for oneself.
The quest of education is knowledge, humanity, culture, wisdom, and sharpness but it should be noted that knowledge is not
given but earned and character is not granted but cultivated.
We, at MSI mentor our students to sharpen their intelligence and enable them to accomplish their aspirations. Simultaneously,
we instil in them a positive value system that shapes their attitude, outlook, and conduct, that provides a strong foundation for
them to tackle the challenges of life. We believe in student centric approach to learning, based on Indian values and a Global
Outlook and a mix of academics and Industry demands. We have a team of dedicated professionals committed to excellence in
education. Our philosophy is to impart world class education. We strive to mould the inherent talent of our students into skills
desired by ever-changing and dynamic society.
Our students have infiltrated in various sectors, be it government, private or public to serve the country in various capacities.
Our competent faculty and the State of The Art infrastructure together with compulsory internship programme at an industry
of repute, help them in developing their overall personality to meet the challenges at global level and come out with the
optimum solutions.
MSI, not only focuses on the theoretical curriculum, but also help in the development of a student personality, extra-curricular
activities and over all perspective. Everything that makes a good institution are - a highly trained faculty, rich library, placement
division, teaching methods, liberty to think and express themselves - we have it here.
I firmly believe that MSI is more than just a place to learn. It gives you a chance to grow by equipping with everything you
need to achieve excellence. We have also excelled ourselves by introducing new professional programmes of Law and MBA
as well from this session. At MSI we ensure students get the best start to their future career to become smart and careful citizen
of our glorious country, India.
I welcome the future generation of budding technocrats, managers and educationists to join us to prepare for a bright future.

With Best Wishes

Life at MSI is a vibrant blend of class lectures, study sessions, management fests and competitive sports meets. An environment
of caring and sharing is what makes us different. Despite a highly competitive spirit amongst students to excel academically,
the atmosphere outside the classroom is one of great comradeship. A fresher is greeted with warmth and is made a part of the
student fraternity. Intense academic rigour and an incredible phenomenon called the MSI culture together make up for a hectic
yet heady concoction of work and play.
In MSI numerous student centric activities are organised round the year viz., workshops, special lectures, alumni talks,
industrial visits and excursion trips etc. In the Academic session 2021-22 MSI organized One International Conference,
One Faculty Development Program, 15 workshops, 24 Special Lecture/Webinar/Seminar, 25 Industrial Visit/Training/Alumni
Meet/ Pre-placement Activities, 33 student activities (Debates, Quizzes, Cultural Events, Sports etc.) and 30 other activities
conducted by societies (including Women Development Cell Activities, NSS activities, E Cell Activities) to enhance the

STUDENTS’ SOCIETIES & CLUBS AT MSI: We at MSI believe that the overall growth of students is possible only
when we give them a platform to express themselves in their areas of interest other than academic front. We have a number
of societies actively run and managed by Student Coordinators and faculty members. The student clubs and societies provide
the opportunity to explore their passion outside the regular studies and collaborate and learn to be part of a community that
