ABSTRACT

A double-lock security mechanism in padlocks enhances security by

incorporating a secondary locking system alongside the primary lock. The primary
lock secures the shackle, while the secondary lock further fortifies the padlock
body, restricting unauthorized access. The secondary lock may feature a key-
operated mechanism, combination dial, or biometric authentication. This two-step
security approach increases resistance to tampering, picking, and forced entry. Key
elements include padlock, shackle, primary lock, secondary lock, security,
unauthorized access, tampering, picking, and forced entry.

Keywords: double lock, security mechanism, padlock, secondary lock, primary

lock, shackle, unauthorized access, tampering, picking, forced entry.
