III. Construction

Insulation type is as per the approved schedule (cellular

glass or elastomeric)

The insulation thickness, facing, model and density are

in accordance with the specification

3 Surface preparation is done properly

Adhesive application is done according to method of

statement

5 Sealants are applied properly

6 Gaps and protursions are filled properly with sealant

The insulation is properly fitted and secured to the

pipes and all joints are closely butted and sealed

The insulation is done properly at all hangers, suppots,

valvesand specialties

All vapor barriers are the correct type, thickness,

continuous and complete

Insulation finish (paint) is applied properly, uniform and

free of defects

11 Pipe labels are installed properly as required
