1 INTRODUCTION
The present instruction manual concerns itself with the mode of operation of the Smart Visio visual
representation software. It contains descriptions of configuration modes for the following systems:
 Rubic UNA – emergency lighting autonomous lights monitoring system (also Rubic Una Mini),
 CBS – emergency lighting central battery system (also limited-power CBS – LPS, as well as
substations with control modules – PBS),
 FZLV – emergency lighting central low-voltage (24 V) battery system,
 SPS – emergency lighting central battery system (without light or circuit monitoring)
 FAS – fire signalling system
 DES – dynamic light supervision system
The manual does not contain a description of the principles of operation of the above systems, hence it
is recommended to first acquaint oneself with the manual for the given system, and then to commence studying
the Smart Visio software.
The following symbols are used in the manual:

- Indicates an important information, to which particular attention should be provided.

- Refers to a different chapter, where the relevant issue is discussed more thoroughly.

1.1 System desription


The SMART VISIO application is an advanced software package supervising and managing the most
modern emergency lighting systems produced by AWEX. Irrespective of the choice of the solution (FZLV, CBS,
Rubic UNA), SMART VISIO permits the connection, grouping and visualisation of each of these at the same
time, in any chosen configuration and from a single management station. The use of the common LAN standard
for communication between systems permits the implementation of this solution practically in every building.
SMART VISIO, due to its low installation costs, the ability of full visual representation and maximum reduction
of everyday time and cost needs, required by the relevant emergency light control standards, is recommended for
use, among others, in shopping centres, medium-sized and large office buildings, hospitals, stadia, at airports,
manufacturing facilities and special-purpose sites. Reporting provided by the system conforms to stipulations of
standard PN–EN 50172.

Application characteristics:
 works with other emergency lighting and fire alarm systems manufactured by AWEX
 intuitive menu system
 option of reading in building plans and light distribution maps
 automatic control of emergency lighting
 option of free configuration of a single light as well as the entire system from one station
 light and system status quick view
 option of installation on any computer (running MS Windows) connected within a common LAN
 immediate verification of all errors in the systems
 quick location of faulty equipment
 simple diagnostics of the most important parameters of the system illustrated in a block diagram
 option of expansion of the platform by an unlimited number of devices
 option of remote management of the connected systems

1.2 Preparation of the installation and the equipment


The connection between the computer, on which the SMART VISIO package is installed, and the
devices to be monitored/ configured via this application, should be made via a LAN. To this end, the building's
existing LAN can be utilised, or a separate LAN can be created only for the purpose of communication of CBS,
FZLV, SPS, DES, FAS and Rubic UNA equipment with the computer or with multiple computers. Keep in mind
that if an existing LAN is used, appropriate IP and BACnetID numbers need to be provided so that no network
conflicts arise. In order to create a separate LAN, remember to use a category 6 UTP (FTP) cable and that the
cables between the individual devices (PC, CBS, FZLV, Rubic UNA , SPS, FAS, DES, Switch, Router) should
not be longer than 100 m.
In order to connect the various devices (CBS, FZLV, Rubic UNA, SPS, FAS, DES) to the computer, on
which SMART VISIO is installed, set the numbers on the devices appropriately:
- IP
- SUBNET MASK
- GATEWAY
- BACnetID
For each central unit, set the IP address, subnet mask and BACnetID in such a way so that
the central units find themselves on the same subnet as the computer, on which Smart Visio is
installed; keep in mind that the IP and BACnetID numbers may not repeat. The correctness of IP
address settings may be checked by entering the IP address of a device within a web browser. If the page of the
relevant unit does not display, check again the cabling and the settings for the IP address and subnet mask.

For CBS systems, ensure a LAN connection as well to all PBS/ … substations (with drivers). The LAN is
not necessary for PBS/ ...H substations (with hub module)

2 Installing SMART VISIO


2.1 Requirements
 PC (at least 8 GB of RAM)
 Smart Visio software + licence
 Operating system, recommended is Windows 7 Sp1 or newer
 Installed VC++2013 libraries (provided in installation package, or under
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784)
 Installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4 plug-in (provided in installation package, or under
https://www.microsoft.com/pl-pl/download/details.aspx?id=17851
 Mouse and keyboard

2.2 Installation wizard


The installation takes place via a standard wizard.

In the first window, choose the relevant installer language:

In the second installation window, the licence agreement appears; it should be read thoroughly before
commencement of the installation; afterwards, select “I accept the agreement”

In the next window, the installer permits the user to create a desktop shortcut and install .NET Framework 4. In
order for the system to work correctly, the host PC must have .NET Framework 4.0 or newer installed.

Then, confirm the choices by pressing the „Install” button, in order for the system to proceed with the
installation of the application on the PC.

2.3 Registration of the application (uploading the licence)


In order to register the application, click the button with the three dots, select the .lic file with the work
station licence, and click OK.
The identifier is used to identify the computer in case of a single workstation licence.

In order for the Smart Visio application to correctly work with the emergency lighting devices, then
beside the workstation licence, each device (CBS, FZLV, Rubic UNA) needs to have its hardware licence
uploaded.
In case a system is ordered in concert with the SMART VISIO application, hardware licences are
uploaded during production at the manufacturer's site.
However, if the SMART VISIO system is ordered separately from the emergency lighting equipment
(CBS, FZLV, Rubic UNA) contact the service department at AWEX ([email protected]) in order to agree on a
mode of upload of the licence to the relevant devices.

2.4 Logging in to SMART VISIO


After the installation is complete and the licence is uploaded, then after the SMART VISIO package is started
up, the login window is displayed first:

In the login window, select:


 Project – a drop-down list appears of the projects opened on the computer, including an option to create
a new project (at any selected location on the computer) and an option to open a project stored on the
computer
 User name – pick the log-in level (Guest, User, Tech, Inst, Conf, Admin, Service)
 Password – provide the relevant password for the login level (by default upon installation of the
SMART VISIO system – one can log in to all levels without a password)

3 Preliminary information

3.1 Tool bar buttons


Top tool bar:

- Undo, repeat – permits the user to undo the last operation and, following that, repeat it.
- Detect – begins detecting the devices connected to the network.
- Download – downloads configuration data of selected devices.
- Upload – sends configuration data to selected devices.
- Refresh – switches on refreshing of device status. The devices are then cyclically polled so that
the application could display their current states.
- Save – saves device configuration details to project files.

- Edit scenarios – an applet used


for configuration and viewing of dynamic lighting scenarios

- User name – permits a user to log off.


- Site plan – shows or hides the site plan.
- System hierarchy – shows or hides the hierarchy tree.
- Console – shows or hides the console window, in which current system operation messages are
displayed. Errors are marked in red.
- SmartVISIO – displays data on the software. Permits the erasing (replacement) of licences.
- Full screen – switches the application to full screen mode.

Bottom tool bar:


– Denotes the presently refreshed device
- Refresh bar – bar is green during refreshing, red in case of errors during refreshing
– time elapsed since last refresh
– additional Control key

3.2 Icons used in the application


The icons used automatically change colour depending on the status of the individual unit:
Grey - unknown – luminaire not tested or line disconnected
Blue - active – working on the network or identification, turned on
Yellow - emergency – turned on
Red - error during test, overload or burned-out fuse
Black - inactive – turned off
Green - in order, turned on

4 System hierarchy (device configuration and status)


The system hierarchy is presented in the form of a tree. For each component of the tree, subsequent tabs
are displayed in the main window (main panel). The number and content of the tabs depends on the currently
selected system component. Each component has a tab, in which the status of the relevant component is
displayed. Central units have additional tabs showing test results, reports, etc. In the system hierarchy tree, the
unit is selected, the status of which is shown in the panel.

4.1 System
If 'System' is selected (first system hierarchy component), then shown is the status of all central units
(the icons change colour as described under item „3.2 Icons used in the application”).

In order to edit the system settings, move to the second tab – „Settings”

The settings are configured by inputting relevant values in the right hand side column of the main
window. For all parameters, the user also has the option of picking the value by using the drop-down list via the
button (the button shows up only after a specific window is clicked with the left mouse button).
The following properties may be configured in the system settings:
- Name – assignment of any name to the project
- Language – selection of the Smart Visio application interface language
- Refresh rate – Setting of the refresh rate tempo for the status information for each device (in seconds)
- Refresh logs – Start up continuous log refreshing

- Mail – e-mail configuration (address, through which e-mails are to be sent, and address, to which e-mails are to
be sent)
- Passwords – configuration of passwords for the individual access levels to the Smart Visio application:
 Guest - May view site plans, status data and logs, cannot edit anything.
 User – May view site plans, status data, logs. Can start up function test or lock.
 Technician – May view site plans, status data, logs. Can start up test, lock.
 Installer – May configure basic options.
 Configurator – May configure most options.
 Administrator – May view anything, edit site plan, configure entire system.
 Service – May do anything.

- Devices – configuration of basic settings for individual devices (described in subsequent chapters)

By clicking the right mouse button at any spot in the 'Settings' tab panel, a shortcut menu will open,
showing modes of display (a similar window is displayed for settings of individual devices):

 Expand first level – automatic expansion of all functions from the first level
 Expand all – automatic expansion of all functions from all levels
 Collapse all – automatic collapse of expanded functions
 Sort – sort alphabetically (second click returns setting to initial condition)
 Zoom in – increase the font size of the displayed function entries (second click returns setting to initial
condition)

4.2 RUBIC UNA (RUBIC UNA MINI)


For a Rubic Una (or Rubic Una Mini) system in the hierarchy tree, one can move within the Rubic Una
central unit, its submodules, groups (A-O, *) as well as among the luminaires found on the individual
submodules assigned to specific groups. Nine tabs open for Rubic UNA central units (Status, Tests, Logs,
Inputs, Outputs, Submodules, Luminaires, Settings).

4.2.1 Status
The „Status” tab shows the most important parameters of the Rubic Una system.

2- Potential-free inputs (four inputs). Grey denotes unused (off) inputs, white denotes inactive inputs, and
green denotes active inputs. For the Rubic Una Mini central units, there are only two such inputs. The
Rubic Una Mini central unit also includes here three inputs controlled by buttons located on the central
unit.

 the name of the central unit
 the software version
 the serial number

 information, whether the following conditions are active: emergency, lock, test, mains mode
4- Potential-free outputs (four outputs). Colour scheme is analogous to the inputs.
5- Schematic diagram presenting the AC power supply to luminaires connected to the central unit, the
charger and central unit backup battery. Green denotes correct operation, in case of trouble the relevant
element is backlit in red.
6- Buttons used to control the central unit:
 Turn on/off mains mode for all luminaires connected to the central unit
 Lock/ unlock mains mode for all luminaires connected to the central unit
 Lock/ unlock emergency operation for all luminaires connected to the central unit
 Automatic detection of submodules connected to the central unit
 Central unit software update

8- Upon a right-button mouse click on a submodule icon, a context menu shows up providing the
following options:
 Show on floor plan – switches windows in such a way, so as to show the designated group or
submodule on the site floor plan.
 Add → Submodules – adds submodules to the central unit.
 Remove – deletes selected submodules.
 Properties – displays the settings of selected submodules.

4.2.2 Tests
The „Tests” tab permits the user to retrieve the results of a recent test.

The window shows a list of all luminaires added to the system, and the individual columns provide information
on the following parameters:
 Address – of the luminaire within the project
 Serial number – of the luminaire
 Name – assigned to the luminaire
 Date – of most recent test
 Duration – of most recent test
 Power – of the luminaire as measured during the last test
 Status – of the most recent test
The top right corner has a button, thanks to which a functional test can be called for the entire system.

4.2.3 Logs
The „Logs” tab permits the user to retrieve stored logs from a Rubic Una central unit.

1- The „Update” button is used to download logs from the central unit to the Smart Visio application.
2- Log filtering by start and end date.
3- Log filtering by type.
4- Searching for logs through keywords.
5- Exporting of logs:
 The „Print” button directs the log to be printed on the printer installed for the computer,
 The „Save” button permits the saving of logs to files (file types: .csv or .txt).

4.2.4 Inputs
In this tab, the user can configure central unit inputs.

The Rubic Una central units has four potential-free inputs, while the Rubic Una Mini central unit has two
potential-free inputs and three button-controlled inputs.
The following parameters can be assigned to each input:
 Function (selectable: Emergency mode lock, mains mode lock, mains mode),
 Connection (NO, NC, RSER, RPAR),
 Scope (the central unit or an individual group).

4.2.5 Outputs
This tab permits the user to configure the outputs of the central unit.

The Rubic Una central unit has four potential-free outputs, and the Rubic Una Mini unit only has two outputs,
with a potential of 12 V.
The following parameters can be set for each output:
 Function (selectable: Error, Emergency, Mains operation, mains mode, Test),
 Type (NO, NC),
 Scope (the central unit or an individual group).

4.2.6 Groups
This tab lets the user configure parameters of the individual groups.

Configurable parameters:
 Battery test – ticking this field opens the battery test schedule
 First battery test date,
 Functional test – ticking this window activates the functional test schedule
 First functional test date,

If a luminaire is not assigned to any group (A-O), then it is automatically assigned to the default
group.

4.2.7 Submodules
This tab lets the user configure settings for submodules.

Configurable parameters:
 Name – of the submodule,
 Address – within the project,
 UNA – unique address – has to be set exactly to the one assigned to the individual module,
 Baud rate – four transmission rates are available: 2400 Bd, 9600 Bd, 38400 Bd, 115200 Bd, the rate
should be chosen to conform to the communications line quality,
 Dynamic mode – if this field is marked, the individual central unit submodule switches to dynamic
operation mode

4.2.8 Luminaires
The „Luminaires” tab permits the user to configure all settings for the individual luminaires.

Configurable parameters:
 Name – of the luminaire,
 Line – line number (for the submodule)
 Address – luminaire number for the given submodule
 UNA – unique address - has to be set exactly to the one assigned to the individual module,
 Group – the group, to which the luminaire was assigned
 Battery test duration – expressed in hours,
 Lower limit [mW] – lower test threshold – if it is exceeded, the system shows the luminaire as
damaged,
 Upper limit [mW] – upper test threshold – if it is exceeded, the system shows the luminaire as damaged,
 Maintained mode – start-up of mains mode,
 Disable emergency mode,
 Emergency off delay [s],
 Brightness mains [%],
 Brightness when operating from batteries [%],
 Brightness L1 [%].

In order to save the same settings for more than one luminaire, the user can select the desired
luminaires and right-click them. A window will show up, permitting one to:
 Add a single luminaire.
 Remove selected luminaires.
 Modify the properties of selected luminaires.
 QR code form handling – described in chapter „QR code form handling”

4.2.9 Settings
This tab pemits the configuration of the Rubic UNA central unit settings.

The settings can be configured by entering relevant values in the right-hand column of the main window. Foor
selected parameters, it is also possible to pick the value by expanding the list using the button (this button is
only displayed after the left mouse button is clicked in a specific window).
The following items can be configured in the system settings:
 Name – freely-selectable name for the Rubic Una central unit,
 Device instance – this is the BACnet ID for the device – can be changed within the project (it is not
possible to send the new BACnet ID number to the device),
 UNA – unique number – can be changed within the project (it is not possible to send the new unique
number to the device),
 Language – language choice for the Rubic Una central unit,
 Mains mode scheduler – starts up the scheduler for the entire central unit,
 Functional test – allows the user to enable the test, to set its duration and repetition interval,
 Battery test – allows the user to enable the test, to set its duration and repetition interval,
 Network – permits the user to set the IP address, subnet mask and gate,
 Mail – E-mail notification settings
 Time – settings for the time zone and automatic Summer time changeover,
 Photometry – permits the user to switch on an information concerning the light intensity measurement

4.2.10 Submodule
In order to enter the settings for a submodule, chose an appropriate submodule (MP1, MP2, etc.) from
the system hierarchy. After it is selected, three new tabs will show up (Status, Luminaires, Settings) that permit
the user to modify and control the various parameters of the submodules.

Configurable luminaire parameters:

 UNA – unique address – has to be set exactly to the one assigned to the individual module,
 Group – the number of the group, to which the luminaire was assigned (* - denotes the default group),

 Lower test limit [mW] – if it is exceeded, the system shows the luminaire as damaged,

In order to save the same settings for more than one luminaire, the user can mark the selected relevant
luminaires and click the right mouse button. A window will pop up enabling the user to:
 Add a single offline luminaire.
 Remove selected luminaires.
 Edit the properties of selected luminaires.
 QR code form handling – described in the chapter „QR code form handling”

Seettings

This tab lets the user configure/ read out parameters concerning the submodule (or all luminaires
connected to the submodule).

4.2.11 Luminaire

4.3 DES Panel


For a DES panel central unit, the system hierarchy lets the user navigate the central unit, its
submodules, groups (A-O, *) as well as the individual luminaires under the relevant submodule that are assigned
to a specific group. For a DES panel, ten tabs are provided (Status, Tests, Logs, Inputs, Outputs, Groups,
Submodules, Input modules, Luminaires, Settings).
Nine out of ten tabs are identical for the Rubic UNA system described earlier. The sole new tab is the
„Input modules” tab. Apart from this, changes appear after the user moves to the submodule. The submodule
will show new tabs used to configure groups, scenarios and pictograms, as well as a new menu for the potential-
free inputs module. For this purpose, the tabs „Submodule”, „Luminaire” and „Input module” are presented
below. To find information concerning configuration for the remeining tabs, switch to the chapter describing the
Rubic UNA central unit.

4.3.1 Submodule
In order to enter a submodule, pick the relevant one (MP1, MP2, etc.) from the system hierarchy. Upon
selection, three new tabs will show up (Status, Luminaires, Settings), where parameters of the submodules may
be edited and controlled.

Status

The „Status” tab looks as follows:

Groups
This tab permits the user to group sensors (assign them to groups) of signals for input modules.

A matrix will be displayed on the screen, in which the subsequent columns show the sensors from the potential-
free input modules. The subsequent rows show groups, to which the sensors can be assigned by marking the
relevant fields with a tick ( ).
In order for the „Groups” tab to show for the relevant submodule, first in the „Settings” tab set
Dynamic Mode to „Yes”, then click the „System” icon in the system hierarchy, and afterwards return
to the configurable submodule.

Scenarios
In this tab, groups can be assigned to scenarios controlling luminaires.

The screen will show a matrix, in the subsequent columns of which will be found the individual dynamic work
groups. The individual rows denote scenarios. By ticking ( ) the relevant fields, a scenario is removed from a
group. Should two groups be active, the first scenario will be called, from which these two groups were not
excluded. The process is similar, if many more groups are active.
For dynamic operation, scenarios numbered 4-249 can be used. Scenarios 0-3, however, are reserved for the
following functions:
S0 – luminaire mains supply
S1 – luminaire battery supply
S2 – luminaire L1 supply
S3 – luminaire mains operation
In order for the „Scenarios” tab to show up for the submodule, first set in the „Settings” tab Dynamic
Mode to „Yes”, then click the „System” icon in the system hierarchy, and afterwards return to the
submodule being configured.

Pictograms
This tab is used for configuring scenarios for individual luminaires.

The screen will show a matrix, in the subsequent columns of which the individual dynamic work
scenarios are found. The subsequent rows show the individual luminaires. For each scenario, the user must enter,
for all luminaires, the light source type to be turned on.
Available light source types:

Where, in order to cause a specific character to be lit for a given scenario, the user enters in the relevant
window the number assigned to the character. For instance, should one want to display the right arrow on a given
luminaire (luminaire WALL-E), then the user inputs the sequence „1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1” in a given field (In the
screenshot above, such a control mode is used for scenario 7 for luminaire 01.002).
The DES dynamic luminaire system permits the display of animations in two-second periods. Each
two-second period is composed of eight steps (each step lasting 0.25 s, a quarter of a second). In order to initiate
animation (character blinking) the user enters in a given window, instead of eight identical digits or numbers,
different numbers. For instance, in order to cause the blinking of the left and right arrow in alternation, use one
of the following sequences:
„1 1 1 1 2 2 2 2” – left arrow displayed for one second, right arrow displayed for one second (WALL-E)
„1 1 2 2 1 1 2 2” – left arrow displayed for half a second, right arrow displayed for half a second (WALL-E)
„1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2” – left arrow displayed for a quarter of a second, right arrow displayed for a quarter of a second
(WALL-E)

Animations may not be programmed for scenarios 0-3. These scenarios cause the display of a fixed
character as per the number entered in the first position.

In order for the „Pictograms” tab to show for a submodule, first select in the „Settings” tab Dynamic
Mode and set it to „Yes”, click the „System” icon in the system hierarchy and afterwards return to the
configured submodule.

The emergency module itself detects the type of light source connected to the luminaire (WALL-E or
INFINITY II).

Input modules
The „Input modules” tab can be found moving in the system hierarchy to the central unit or a relevant
submodule. Depending on where it is chosen from, in the list there can be found input modules from the entire
system or from just one submodule.

Configurable luminaire parameters:


 Name – if the input module; cannot be changed,
 Line – the submodule, to which the relevant potential-free input module was connected,
 Address – the number of the potential-free input module,
 UNA – unique address,
 Input type (one from among five input types):
o 1 kΩ/ 0.5 kΩ
o 22 kΩ/ 11 kΩ
o 47 kΩ/ 23.5 kΩ
o 4.7 kΩ/ 2.35 kΩ
o NC (connected/ not connected)
 Input count – the count of the inputs used may be selected (up to 12).
Settings

This tab permits the user to configure/ read the parameters of the submodule.

In order for the tabs Groups, Scenarios, Pictograms and Input modules to show up for the submodule,
first set Dynamic Mode to „Yes”, click the „System” icon in the system hierarchy and afterwards
return to the configured submodule.

4.3.2 Luminaire
In order to move to the „Luminaire” menu, first select the relevant luminaire from the system hierarchy.
Following this selection, two new tabs will show up (Status, Settings), which will permit the user to modify and
inspect the parameters of the relevant luminaire.

In order to enter the „Potential-free input module” menu, pick the relevant module from the system
hierarchy. Upon selection, two new tabs will be displayed (Status, Settings) where parameters of the relevant
module can be edited and controlled.

4.3.4 Edit scenarios


In order to move to scenario editing, activate the floor plan using the icon. Then, click on any spot on the
floor plan with the right mouse button.

From the context menu, select „Edit scenarios” so that an additional menu
appears in the top bar, enabling the user to edit scenarios.

In the scenario animation menu, assign the scenario, for which you are creating the animation, as well as the
number of steps (1; 2 x 1 s; 2 x 0.5 s.; 2 x 0.25 s.; 4 x 0.5 s.; 4 x 0.25 s.; 8 x 0.25 s.). The last part of the bar is
used to call up the relevant required animation step.

Having selected the scenario and animation frame, the user can edit/ change the
individual light sources. In order to change a light source having already selected a
scenario and animation frame, press the right mouse button on the relevant dynamic
luminaire. A list will then appear, from which the relevant light source can be chosen.
The selected light source may also be copied to any freely selected scenario.

4.4 FZLV
For the FZLV central unit, the system hierarchy will enable the user to configure the FZLV central unit
or the luminaires subordinate to it. For the FZLV central unit eight tabs are available (Status, Tests, Logs,
Chart, Inputs, Outputs, Luminaires, Settings).

4.4.1 Status
The „Status” tab shows the main parameters of the FZLV system.

 Show on floor plan – switches windows in such a say, so as to show the selected luminaire on

 Details – changes the screen layout so that each of the added luminaires is accompanied by its
detailed description (unique number, luminaire name and type),
 Settings → Battery capacity – permits the user to read out the present volume of luminaires in
the circuits, power in the circuits, current in the circuits, and, after picking the cross-section of
the cable, indicates the maximum length of cable that can be used for that particular circuit.
 Actions → Displays a subsequent menu window that enables the user to switch identification
off or on, switch a luminaire off or on, and commence the functional test (active only if the
given luminaire is clicked),
 Add → Luminaire (ADF module) – active only if a free place is clicked,
 Remove – removes selected submodules,

 Properties – displays the modifiable settings for the selected luminaire. If several luminaires
are selected at once – the user will be able to modify the settings of multiple luminaires
simultaneously.

4.4.2 Tests
The „Tests” tab permits the user to read out the results of the last test carried out.

The window shows a list of all luminaires added to the system, and the individual columns show the following
parameters:
 Luminaire project address,
 Luminaire serial (unique) numbers,
 Names assigned to the luminaires,
 Luminaire types,
 Luminaire versions,
 System voltage,
 Luminaire light source voltage,
 Luminaire light source current,
 Status of last test carried out.
The top right corner displays three buttons used to start the functional test, the battery test and the luminaire test.

4.4.3 Logs
The „Logs” tab lets the user retrieve stored logs for the FZLV central unit. Relevant logs appear in the main
window:

4.4.4 Chart
The „Chart” tab permits the user to display a chart showing changes in system current and voltage
values for a selected period of time. To display a chart, first update the logs for the relevant time frame.

In the top left corner, pick the date range, for which the chart is to be displayer. The chart can display:
 System voltage (Vsys),
 Battery voltage (Vbat),
 Battery current (Ibat),
 Circuit current (IL1, IL2, IL3, IL4).
The right mouse button displays a menu, in which the chart type and the variables to be displayed can be
selected.

4.4.5 Inputs
This tab lets the user configure the inputs of the central unit.

The FZLV central unit has four potential-free inputs (IN1-IN4) and four voltage inputs (SW1-SW4).
The following parameters may be assigned to each input:
 Enable (activation of specific input),
 Function (selectable from among: none, switch, dimmer, lock, power loss),
 Type (NO, NC, RSER, RPAR).

4.4.6 Outputs
This tab lets the user configure the outputs of the central unit.

The FZLV central unit has four potential-free outputs.


The following parameters may be assigned to each output:
 Enable (activation of the output),
 Event (selectable from among several parameters of the central unit and all inputs),
 Type (NO, NC),
 Global (selection causes the signal to be read from all central units connected to the network).

4.4.7 Luminaires
This tab lets the user configure the parameters of the individual luminaires.

QR code form handling

Configurable luminaire parameters:


 Luminaire name,
 Line (submodule number),
 Address (luminaire number on the line – address within the project),
 UNA – unique address – has to be set exactly to the one assigned to the individual module,
 Mode (Non-maintained, maintained, switchable, advanced),
 Backup time (Autonomy over one, three, eight hours, etc.),
 Groups – the number of the group, to which the luminaire was assigned,
 Enabled (marking this field causes bright mode to be enabled),
 Fixed brightness (brightness for mains operation 1-100%),
 Timer (brightness per timer control 1-100%),
 No mains (brightness on batteries 1-100%),
 IN1, IN2, IN3, IN4, SW1, SW2, SW3, SW4 (brightness as controlled by relevant input).

A right mouse button click anywhere in this tab will display a menu used to handle QR code forms.

4.4.8 Settings
The subsequent tab lets the user configure settings of the FZLV central unit.

Settings are configured through entries of appropriate values in the right column of the main window.
For selected parameters, it is also possible to select values from a drop-down list expandable via (this button
only shows up after a left mouse button click in the relevant window).
The system settings permit the configuration of the following settings:
 Name – freely selectable name for the FZLV central unit,
 Device instance (BACnet ID) – can be changed within the project (it is not possible to send the new
BACnet ID number to the device),
 Srial number – can be changed within the project (it is not possible to send the new serial number to the
device),
 Emergency – permits the configuration of the following: emergency recovery time and manual
confirmation of emergency being over,
 Functional test – activation of the test, date of first test, repetition period, warm-up time, test shift,
 Battery test – test activation, reminder configuration, date of first test, repetition period, test duration,
brightness in case of emergency, test shift,
 Power supply test – enable, enable reminder, initial test date, repetition period,
 Battery – configuration of the minimal voltage and the circuit shutdown voltage,
 Network – configuration of the following numbers: IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS, DHCP,
group mask,
 Mail – E-mail transmission settings,
 System – settings concerning the language, passwords, screen, sound, time and instructions,
 Timer – timer activation and settings for the individual days of the week,
 Inputs – the same settings as in the „Inputs” tab,
 Outputs – the same settings as in the „Outputs” tab,
 Groups – group name settings,

For the CBS, central battery system, the system hierarchy permits the user to move within the CBS
main cabinet, internal modules, external modules, control groups as well as luminaires connected to the system.
Visual representations of the LPS system or PBS substation look similar, save for the fact that some functions
are not used for these systems. For the CBS, six tabs are available (Status, Modules, Groups, Tests, Logs,
Settings).

4.5.1 Status
The „Status” tab shows the most important parameters of the Central Battery System.

Groups may be configured either in the „Status” or „Settings” tabs.


The „Status” tab has a list of inputs for each group, which control the group, and a list of luminaires to be
controlled by this group (up to 32 sensors per group, the number of luminaires is unlimited).
1 – A click of the right mouse button anywhere brings up a context menu that lets the user add sensors to the
group, and assign luminaires or circuits to the group.
2 – Should a sensor or luminaire be clicked, the option „Remove” becomes available – it is used to remove a
luminaire or a sensor from a group.
3 – If a luminaire is clicked, the menu is supplemented by the following options:
 „Show on floor plan” – if the user selects this option, they are taken to a visual representation window
showing the luminaire
 „Properties” – takes the user to a window, where the status can be retrieve/ the configuration can be
changed
The „Settings” tab in the right-hand side column lets the user select the control mode (a total of 32 control modes
for a single group).

4.5.5 Logs
The „Logs” tab permits the user to retrieve logs stored for the CBS.

4.5.6 Settings
The subsequent tab lets the user configure the settings of the CBS.

Settings are configured through entries of appropriate values in the right column of the main window. For
selected parameters, it is also possible to select values from a drop-down list expandable via (this button only
shows up after a left mouse button click in the relevant window). The settings tab lets the user configure the
settings for all modules. Descriptions of configuration procedures for individual modules are found in the
following chapters.

4.5.7 Control module


In order to enter the „Control module” menu, select the relevant control module from the system
hierarchy. This menu contains two tabs:

time changeover, language, time for return to main menu, emergency, lock, functional test, battery test, power
supply test, timer 1 date, timer 2 time, function keys, inputs, outputs, group, location.

4.5.8 Hub module


In order to enter the „Hub module” menu, choose the relevant hub from the system hierarchy. This
menu has two tabs:

Settings:

The screen only lets the user configure the module name and location in the system (column and row).

4.5.9 Line modules


In order to enter the „Line module” menu, select the relevant line module from the system hierarchy.
Below, the menu for line module type ML-S 4x3A is presented. Other line modules have similar menus. This
menu has four tabs:

1 – An image of the line module.
2 – Basic system information.
3 – Information about the presence of AC/DC voltage and the operation of circuit breakers.
4 – Buttons used to control the circuits (select the circuit number and the function to be executed).
5 – Table with luminaires (luminaire status data), after a right mouse button click a context menu shows up
enabling the user to: detection of the luminaire in the floor plan, addition or removal of a luminaire or display of
the properties of the given luminaire.

Circuits:

This screen lets the user configure the working mode for the circuits for the relevant line module.

Luminaires:

This screen lets the user configure the working modes for luminaires added to the circuits of the relevant line
module.

Settings:

This screen lets the user configure settings of the circuits of the line module as well as the switching time.

4.5.10 Sensor modules


In order to enter the „Sensor module” menu, pick the relevant sensor module from the system hierarchy.
Below, the menu for module LS-230 is presented. Menu systems for module types LS-24, ELS-230, CZF-LON
are similar. The menu includes three tabs:

4.5.11 Charger modules


To enter the „Charger” menu, select the charger from the system hierarchy. The menu has two tabs:

In order to enter the Luminaires menu, expand within the system hierarchy the relevant line module and
select the appropriate luminaire. This menu has two tabs:

4.6 SPS
For the SPS central unit, the user is able to configure, within the system hierarchy, the SPS central unit
or its subordinate inputs, outputs and circuits. For the SPS central unit, six tabs are avilable (Status, Logs,
Circuits, Inputs, Outputs, Settings).

4.6.1 Status
The „Status” tab holds the key parameters of the SPS system.

4.6.2 Logs
The „Logs” tab permits the user to retrieve stored logs from the SPS central unit. Relevant logs are
displayed in the main window:

 Duration – the time, during which the circuit should remain on when switched,
 Maintained – the selection of this option will see the circuit switched on permanently,
 No mains – the selection of this item shall switch the circuit on in case of a power cut on the
SPS central unit,
 IN1-IN4 – potential-free control (active – signal switches circuit on, reversed – signal switches
circuit off, none – control inactive)
 SW1-SW4 – potential-based control (active – signal switches circuit on, reversed – signal
switches circuit off, none – control inactive)

4.6.4 Inputs
The “Inputs” tab lets the user configure the parameters of the individual inputs.

The table rows show the individual inputs (IN1-IN4, SW1-SW4). The user may configure for each
input:
 its Function:
o Lock (locks the entire device)
o Switch (option of assigning to individual circuits)
o Voltage drop (option of assigning to individual circuits)
 Type:
o NO (normally open)
o NC (normally closed)
o RSER (serial resistor – 1 kΩ)
o RPAR (parallel resistor – 1 kΩ)

4.6.5 Outputs
The “Outputs” tab lets the user configure parameters of the individual outputs.

The rows include outputs (OUT1-OUT4). For each output, the following can be configured:
 Event: Mains operation, battery operation, emergency, lock, test in progress, battery charging,
fault, failure of charging unit, failure of battery, inverter error, circuit breaker error, batery
protection, IN1-IN4, SW1-SW4.
 Type: NO (normally open) or NC (normally closed)

4.6.6 Settings
The next tab lets the user configure the settings of the SPS central unit.

Settings are configured through entries of appropriate values in the right column of the main window.

The system settings permit the configuration of the following settings:
 Name – permits the assignment of any chosen name to the SPS central unit,
 Device instance (BACnet ID) – can be changed within the project (it is not possible to send the
new BACnet ID number to the device),
 Serial number – can be changed within the project (it is not possible to send the new serial
number to the device),
 Emergency – permits the configuration of the following: emergency recovery time and manual
confirmation of emergency being over,
 Functional test – activation of the test, date of first test, repetition period, warm-up time, test
shift,
 Battery test – test activation, reminder configuration, date of first test, repetition period, test
duration, brightness in case of emergency, test shift,
 Power supply test – enable, enable reminder, initial test date, repetition period,
 Battery – configuration of the minimal voltage and the circuit shutdown voltage,
 Network – configuration of the following values: IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway, DNS,
DHCP, Group mask,
 Mail – E-mail transmission settings,
 System – settings concerning the language, passwords, screen, sound, time and instructions,
 Timer – timer activation and settings for the individual days of the week,
 Inputs – the same settings as in the „Inputs” tab,
 Outputs – the same settings as in the „Outputs” tab,
 Circuits – the same settings as in the „Circuits” tab.

4.7 FAS
In the case of the FAS system, in the system’s hierarchy we can move among modules, loops, zones,
criterions, groups as well as inputs and outputs (I/O). The FAS system features 16 tabs (Status, Logs, Panels,
Control modules, IO cards, Loops, Points, Inputs, Schedule, Zones, Alarm variants, Criterions, Groups,
Outputs, Control matrix, Settings). Furthermore, when selecting specific modules in the system’s hierarchy, it
is possible to change configurations and read the status of the entire system.

4.7.1 Status
The “Status” tab presents the most important system parameters.

Main menu

The “Main menu” features 13 buttons for reading and configuring the basic system parameters. The first
five buttons are intended for reading system logs (information) – the logs are displayed in the main window.
Each button features information about the number of displayed logs and the total number of logs saved in the
system:
 Info
 Alarms
 Faults
 Locks
 Tests
The next four buttons are intended for activating and locking particular groups of devices or alarm delays:
 Alarm signalling
 Alarm routing
 Protection equipment
 Alarm delays

4.7.2 Logs
The “Log” tab allows reading the logs saved in the FAS central. Relevant logs are displayed in the main

located in the FAS centrals and external ESP panels.

 Address – Address 0 is restricted for the panel located in the central
 Serial number – unique device number
 Name – any panel name
 Language – language selection from a drop-down list
 Colour theme – selection of the display’s colour theme
 Brightness [%] – display brightness
 Log out time [s] – time after the lapse of which the user will be logged out
 Screen saver time [s] – time after which the screen saver is enabled
 Screen off time [s] – time after which the screen is disabled
 Print alarms – selecting this option will print the alarms using the installed printer
 Buzzer – enabling the sound signalling when navigating the menu

o State monitoring – checking the device’s state – information will be displayed in the FAS central
o Activation monitoring – the input signal is assigned to the output and a delay is declared
o Fire alarm – the signal is assigned to the fire protection zone
 Delay [s] – active only for the activation monitoring (time between input and output activation)
 Output – active only for the activation monitoring – the input signal activated the assigned output
 Zone – supervisory zone to which the element is assigned
 Input state – active only for the state monitoring, changing the option to inactive inverts the operation

 Device state – active only for the state monitoring, allows monitoring of fault or activation of an
external device

The “Schedule” tab includes a table that allows configuring the activation and deactivation of delays for

T2 – Fire alarm routing delay
T3 – Fire alarm signalling delay
T4 – Fire protection equipment delay

The first window allows the user to define the times T1, T2, T3 and T4, whereas the table below features the
following options:
 Address – max. 16 actions can be configured
 Action – it is necessary to choose whether the given action will activate or deactivate the delay
 Time – time at which the delay will be activated or deactivated
 Days of the week – it is necessary to select the days of the week for the given action

The “Schedule” tab can also be found by navigating the system’s hierarchy:

The window displays the icons of all points added to the zone. Each point is specified – point addresses
are displayed under the icons. The icon colours determine the point’s status (green – no alarm, red – fire alarm).
The right side features the following buttons: Start test, Stop test, Lock and Unlock (testing or locking
all of the zone’s elements at once). In case of a test or lock, relevant information is provided above the element
(point) icons.
Points (Zone)
The “Points” tab features the table of all elements belonging to the given zone. The configuration is
identical as in the case of points connected to a loop.
Settings (Zone)
It is possible to change the address, name and alarm variant for the given zone.

4.7.11 Alarm variants


The “Alarm variants” tab allows the user to add, remove and edit the properties of all alarm variants used in the
system.

The table allows changing the following properties:


 Address – alarm variant number
 Stages count – count of alarm stages
 Stages count for MCP – count of alarm stages
 Pre alarm – pre alarm in case of element correlation by way of coincidence
 Pre alarm reset – alarm reset if there is no coincidence with another sensor or subzone
 Coincidence – for a sensor or subzone, after an alarm is activated by one of the sensors (subzones), the
system waits for the alarm activated by a second sensor (subzone)
 Interactive – alarm is routed if any of the parameter increases on more than one sensor in a zone
 Stage 2 acceleration – if an alarm signal is routed from two sensors – a stage 2 alarm is activated
automatically
 Reset time [s] – time for stage one alarm reset
 Coincidence time [s] – time between alarms from two sensors
After clicking the right mouse button anywhere in the window, an additional menu with the following options is
displayed:
 Add – adds another alarm variant to the list
 Remove – removes the currently highlighted alarm variant from the system
 Properties – opens an additional menu that allows editing the properties of the selected point

4.7.12 Criterions
The “Criterions” tab allows the user to add, remove and edit the properties of particular criterions used
in the system. Four criterions are set by default:
 Alarm signalling – this criterion must be supplemented by outputs (output groups) related to alarm
signalling (Sound signalling, optical signalling, SWS). The criterion is activated during a stage 2 alarm.
 Alarm routing – this criterion must be supplemented by outputs (output groups) related to alarm
routing (UTA). The criterion is activated during a stage 2 alarm.
 Protection equipment – this criterion must be supplemented by outputs (output groups) related to fire
protection equipment (smoke-extraction flaps, shut-off flaps, door holders, fans). The criterion is
activated during a stage 2 alarm.
 Damage – this criterion must be supplemented by outputs (output groups) related to routing of alarm
about damage to the system or its part (UTASU). The criterion is activated after the occurrence of any
damage.

of an element to a zone takes place by selecting the relevant checkbox.

STAGE 2:

In the second stage – in the “Groups” tab, it is possible to assign particular outputs to the added groups.
Assignment of an output to a group takes place by selecting the relevant checkbox.

STAGE 3:

In the third stage – in the “Zones”, it is possible to correlate groups with zones using the relevant criterions.

zones with groups.

4.7.16 Settings
The “Settings” tab allows the user to configure all system parameters.

The window features the settings of particular system elements. By dropping down the particular menus using
the cursor: it is possible to enter the settings of relevant secondary elements.

4.7.17 IO module
The FAS system includes three types of IO modules:
 MIO 22 (two inputs and two outputs)
 MIO 44 (four inputs and four outputs)
 MIO 88 (eight inputs and eight outputs)

4.8 Floor plan (visual representation)


To move to the site floor plan, pick in the top right corner the icon . In the image below, a sample
floor plan is shown, with several luminaires and emergency lighting systems included.

In order to create a site floor plan, first create the building plans in appropriate files. Smart Visio let the
user upload various kinds of graphics files (e. g. .svg, .wmf, .emf, emf+, .png, .gif, .jpg, .bmp), however, due to
the file size and the volume of space taken up on the computer, the emf+ format is recommended. It is worth it to
remove unnecessary things from the plans (e. g. systems other than emergency lighting). The clearest files will
be those, in which only the building's architecture and emergency lighting remain. In case of problems with
generating emf+ files, contact the design department of AWEX.
The floor plans and the luminaire configurations in the plans are stored at the indicated location on the
computer – where the project is stored according to the stipulations from the chapter „Logging in to Smart
Visio”. Basically, Smart Visio lets the user upload an unlimited number of plans, however, note (this is
especially true if a format different than emf+ is used) that the files may take up a large portion of the computer's
operational memory. Hence, for a higher volume of plans, use formats that do not take up excess memory (again,
the emf+ are recommended), or optionally provide a computer with an appropriately larger RAM capacity.

4.9 Adding the floor plans


To add a floor plan, right-click in the top part of the working window (red arrow in the image below). A
context menu will open upon the click, from which the user should first choose the option „Add...”, whereupon a
dialogue window will open, permitting the user to find the file with the floor plan on the hard drive. The user can
pick a single file or multiple files (using the Control key). After the files are opened, tabs will automatically be
created with the new floor plans – the tabs will bear the same names, as the selected files (floor plans). The
visual representation will be clearest, if the individual floor plans show the subsequent storeys of the building.

The context menu contains the following functions:


 Add... – function described above the image.
 New – adds a new tab without a layout. A new tab may also be created by a double-click on the bar to
the right side of the existing tabs.
 Remove – removes the currently selected tab.
 Rename – lets the user change the name of the current tab, as well as the size of the loaded layout and
the fonts used in the floor plan.
 Change layout – lets the user change the layout to the one presently used in the tab (the new layout
should be picked from a relevant location on the computer). When a new file is chosen, it is copied to
the project folder.

4.10 Editing the floor plan


To open the floor plan edit menu, right-click anywhere in the layout window so as not to hit any of the
added icons (i. e. in an empty location).

The layout edit window lets the user carry out the following operations:
 Floor plan – the same functions as in the layout editing described in the previous chapter, as well as the
scenario editing functions described in the „DES Panel” chapter
 Add – pick an item from the drop-down list – whereupon the user is transferred to the icon edit window
o Add → +System hierarchy – simplifies the placement of components in the floor plan. Using
the left mouse button, click a component within the system hierarchy to be added, and then
click the location in the layout, where it should be placed. After the component is added, the
application automatically picks the next component in the system hierarchy that can
immediately be placed in the relevant location in the floor plan (automatic selection of
subsequent components only works within the same level in the system hierarchy). Should this
option not be selected, the luminaires are to be transferred from the system hierarchy by
dragging and dropping relevant components using the left mouse button.
o Add → Label – inserts a label – any text – to the floor plan,
o Add → New – imports to the layout a new set of images (.png file) for icons. To add a set (five
files), they have to have the right name (x.png, x_active.png, x_emg.png, x_err.png, x_off.png,
x_on.png, where x is the chosen base name for the set). When a new set is chosen, Smart Visio
needs to be restarted,
o Add → pick a component from the drop-down list.
 Paste – permits the user to paste a previously copied element (e. g. a luminaire icon)
 Zoom in – zooms in to the current layout
 Zoom out – zooms out of the current layout
 Zoom 1:1 – presents the layout in a magnification of 1:1
 Zoom to fit – zooms the layout appropriately so that it fits in the present window
 Save – saves the changes introduced to the project
 Properties – displays the editor (described in the next chapter).

4.11 Icon editing


In order to open the icon editing window, right-click on the icon to be edited.

The icon edit menu provides the following functions:


 Show in system hierarchy – causes the point in the system hierarchy, where the component (e. g. the
luminaire) is located, to be shown; when this option is clicked, on the left side, in the hierarchy panel,
the relevant component shall be marked, and the main window will display information about the given
component (the floor plan window will be closed).
 Settings – moves the user to the settings for the component (luminaire, system). The open context menu
lets the user configure the device.
 Actions – permits the call-up of identification or a test of the given component (function only available
for the FZLV system).
 Align – this function is active only if several system components are selected; if Align → Top is
selected, then all components shall be moved to the height, where the topmost of the selected
components is placed. To select more than one component, use the keyboard's Control key, and, using
the left mouse button, select the area to be marked or individual components.
 Icon – opens a list of available images, from among which the user may make a choice for the selected
component
 Cut – the selected component is moved to the clipboard; can then be pasted elsewhere.
 Copy – the selected component is copied to the clipboard; can then be pasted elsewhere.
 Paste – the element previously copied (cut) is pasted.
 Remove – the selected component is removed.
 Properties – displays the editor (described in the next chapter).

For the purpose of selecting all icons, copying, cutting or pasting them, standard keyboard shortcuts
may be used: Ctrl+A (select all), Ctrl+C (copy), Ctrl+X (cut), Ctrl+V (paste). The Ctrl+Z (unto)
keyboard shortcut, in turn, is not available.

4.12 Icon properties


In order to pick the icon properties menu, double-click with the left mouse button the relevant icon, or
right-click the icon, and select „Properties” from the relevant context menu.

The icon properties menu permits the user to configure the following icon options:
 Address:
o Device ID – from the drop-down list, select the device, for which the luminaire or any other
system component is being configured.
o Address – select the appropriate component address. Sample addresses are:
- CENTRAL – central unit, - LM3 – line module 3 (CBS),
- L03.004 – 4th luminaire, 3rd line, - SM33 – sensor module 33 (CBS),
- L02 – line 2, - IN34.5 – fifth sensor module input. 34 (CBS),
- GF – group F (RUBIC), - CM – control module (CBS),

o Image – pick the relevant icon type.
o Size – pick the icon size so that it is adapted to the dimensions of the background.
o Rotation – the entered digit denotes rotation about an angle (in degrees) against the horizontal
o Location – lets the user change the luminaire location in the layout (the layout change can also
be effected by moving the relevant component using the left mouse button).
 Text:
o Text offset – permits the configuration of the following text against the component (icon) – this
is the position of the text in pixels against the top left corner of the icon.
o Text – the user can manually enter any text supposed to be displayed by a component, or pick
from the drop-down list the information to be displayed for a given component:
 $! $(Name) – Component name,
 $* $(Tip) – Component status details,
 $# $(Address) – Component address,
 $@ $(Path) – Component path (address incl. central unit number),
 $(Address)\n$(Name),
 $(Path)\n$(Name).
o Font – opens a panel permitting the user to change the luminaire description font.

The simplest way to arrange system components on backgrounds is to transfer them from the
system hierarchy, meaning, the user has to appropriately expand the system hierarchy so that it shows
the components interesting to us (say, luminaires) to be placed on backgrounds; with the left mouse
button held down, they are to be copied to the appropriate place on the background. After it is copied,
the icon properties widow opens automatically, so that the icon may be configured.

5 QR code form handling


In the Rubic UNA and FZLV systems, emergency luminaires communicate with central units via
unique addresses (QR codes) assigned to the luminaires. Each luminaire has a unique address assigned to it
during manufacture. In order to properly configure the relevant unit in the Smart Visio software, a special panel
was designed for generating project addresses as QR codes and for reading unique addresses – QR codes.
To properly configure a device using QR codes, the following procedure must be taken:
 generate a list of project addresses,
 pair the unique addresses with their relevant addresses within the project,
 upload the list of unique addresses into Smart Visio,
 upload the configuration details from Smart Visio to the relevant FZLV or Rubic UNA device.

5.1 Generating the list of project addresses


In order to move to generating the list of project addresses, the user first picks the 'Luminaires' tab in the
FZLV system or within the relevant submodule in the Rubic UNA system.

Before the list of address projects is printed, the user makes sure that all luminaires were added to the
system (it is sufficient to add the luminaires off-line, in order for the list to be printed). After the luminaires are
added, right-click the mouse in the main window (anywhere), in order for the context menu to pop up. From the
menu select Print → Project addresses. After this selection, a printer selection window should pop up.

Usually, the list of project addresses is sent to customers together with the system (central unit), and it
is not necessary for the customer to have to generate it.

5.2 Pairing of unique addresses and their corresponding project

When the project address list is printed, it needs to be supplemented with the corresponding unique
addresses.
Below is a sample project address list, with their corresponding unique addresses:

The list of project addresses shows the addresses in two columns (data for up to forty luminaires fits one
A4 page). Depending on the system size, the list may be composed of a few, several, or even dozens of such
pages. In the list, on the right side of the project address, affix the sticker with the unique address (each luminaire
should have a set of a few such stickers). In order not to mix up the stickers, it is recommended to attach them to
the list during assembly of luminaires at the site. Should e. g. one sticker get misplaced, the unique address for
that luminaire will have to be written down by hand.

5.3 Uploading the unique address list into Smart Visio


After the project address list, with their corresponding unique addresses, is created, the list needs to be
scanned (this option is only available, if the computer has a scanner connected to it); alternatively, a good-quality
photograph of the list is sufficient.

In order to read the list in via a scanner, right-click anywhere in the window and choose Scan → Scanner, and
then pick the relevant scanner (beforehand, put the list into the scanner). The user is then transferred to the
scanner options window. In order for the machine to be able to read the numbers in correctly, pick the following
scanner properties:
 Minimum resolution of 600 DPI,
 Greyscale image,
 Contrast best slightly higher as compared to the standard setting.
The second option is to make a photograph of the list, so that it would have:
 the highest picture sharpness possible,
 a minimum resolution of 8 million pixels,
 was framed so that the form would take up as large a part of the photograph as possible,
 as little interference as possible, etc.
After the photographs are made, they should be copied into the computer; then, in Smart Visio, select the option
Scan → Image… At that moment, the user is asked to pick the image from the computer.
With all address lists uploaded, the user should check, whether the „Serial number” column shows the
unique addresses of all luminaires. Should any serial number be incorrect (e. g. missing, wrong luminaire type),
then the serial number field is greyed out. If serial numbers repeat themselves, then these serial numbers will be
displayed in red. In such a case, rescan the list with better sharpness or correct the missing addresses manually.

5.4 Uploading the unique address configuration from Smart Visio to the
FZLV or Rubic UNA device
After the configuration is created within Smart Visio, it should be sent to the central unit (appropriately,
Rubic UNA or FZLV).

The easiest upload method is to use the button from the top menu bar for this purpose. The
file with the luminaire addresses can also be saved to an SD card, with the luminaire addresses, picking the
central unit from the system hierarchy tree, and selecting from the context menu Export... The file name must
have the extension .pa.csv. Such a file can now be imported into the central unit (Configuration → Import →
Configuration → Load).
