Setting
The how-to kill a mockingbird is set during segregation, specifically in the 1930s; as proven in
the book, it was from the accepted racism displayed. It was in a little town.
Story summary
It all started when Dill visited Maycomb with his Auntie during the 1930s deep depression and
segregation. He is astounded by Boo Radley. Boo Radley hasn't come out, so Dill decides to go
to Boo's house with Jem.
Dill goes back to their hometown.

Scout goes to school for the first time in her life. She is taught by her brother Atticus Finch.
Atticus is told to be a lawyer.
Atticus' primary motive was to kill a mocking bird is a certified sin.
But, in this situation, the African American people, most people in Alabama, are prominent
racists, especially during segregation time.
Afterwards, Scout with Jem finds stuff in a tree in Radley's place. But the stupid thing was Jem
got his pants stuck on the Radley fence.
Next, Maudie's house is burnt down because of a kitchen plug. The house burning down could
symbolise Prejudice toward Black people this time, such as Tom Robinson.
Then, Atticus shoots the dog surprising the children nearby.
Furtherwards, Jem vents his anger by cutting off Dubose Flowers. He is mad because Dubose
said to Jem.
One citizen by the name of Tom Robinson is falsely accused and betrayed. He is accused of
raping a white woman. Scout Finch's father is a lawyer; his name is Atticus. His client is Tom
Robinson, who almost got killed in a lynching, but Atticus protected him.
Finally, The trial begins, and he is found guilty for actions he didn't commit. Unfortunately, Tom
attempts to run away from the court but gets shot and is pronounced dead.
Bob Ewell is the father of Mayella, the Woman who betrayed and accused Tom of rape. Bob
attacks Scout and Jem together and is killed by Radley.

Story conclusion.
The story's conclusion proves to show the element of prejudice. We are told that Tom is
innocent, but he is guilty and killed due to his skin tone. To kill a mockingbird demonstrates of
Prejudice situation. Well, Jem is saved those who have fewer merits than those Tom. Both
neither should have been killed, but Tom is. The conclusion displays Prejudicial elements.
One opinion and one fact
My idea in this book is that opinion is connected with fact. One is both aspects of each other.
What I see as a fact is that segregation exists in this story, mainly because it was taken in
Alabama in the 1930s. One of the most racist states in America. Segregation had an aspect. It
was primarily displayed in the court case and Lynch. It was racially motivated.
My opinion is that the books show prejudice; the argument does show that prejudice is an
element and could also be argued as not. This is one of the reasons this is my opinion. Because
we see earlier in the book that Jem is raiding Arthur's house even though he hasn't gone out of
the house, this could be seen as irritating. But, you already have a negative aspect of Jem and
Scout; nonetheless, you still save them when they are in danger. Well, Tom, a kind, innocent
person who got betrayed, should be forgiven but found guilty due to skin tone. This book accepts
any slurs, so it has some racism. They called a black Man the "Hard R".
