Duration of Activity:
Description of the Activity (Step by Step)
DC/PV Cable Installation Procedure
A. Pulling DC Cable
1 There are two types of DC wiring, namely leap frog wiring and daisy chain wiring such as figure 2 and figure
3
2 This Pulling DC Cable is done after the PV Module's internal wiring is completed
3 Make sure again before the cable is held cable connector / cable gland has been installed and check all
document reference
4 Cables are placed in a neat order, avoiding crossings and puncturing with other cables, as well as tidying up
in cable tray/trench using cable ties.
5 Ensuring towing equipment (cable roll etc.)
6 Ensure that turns and angles do not exceed the swelling radius of the appropriate cable manufacturer
recommendations
7 After cable pulling, check for mechanical damage to the cable
8 Perform a continuity test on each cable that has been pulled to ensure each pull matches the cable
schedule and record the measurement results on the form provided
9 Next, Insulation Resistance (IR test) to ensure there are no voltage leaks or damage to the cable (minimum
measurement value: working voltage x 1000) and record the measurement results on the form provided
10 Ensure both ends of the cable are marked with the relevant cable number and sealed for
prevent moisture ingress before termination work
11 Record the actual cable path length installed and record the schedule of installed cables
12 Make sure there is no cable connection in this process of pulling cable dc
13 DC cables are not directly exposed to sunlight but through flexible metal conduit
14 No DC cable is exposed to the roof directly, DC cable is tied using clip cables and cable ties
15 Flexible metal conduit leading to cable tray mounted in parallel with straight rail PV so that flexible metal
conduit does not touch the roof see figure 7
B. PV String Connection
1 Make sure all PV modules used are of the same type
2 When stripping the cable insulation “L”, 7mm to 9mm in length should be removed on the end of cable
3 Fix the stripping tool, cutting length to 7mm to 9mm (the length of L should be fixed). See Figure 8
4 Take the cable one hand and take the stripping tool the other hand.
5 Insert cables until the end touches fixed block
6 Squeeze the handle of the stripping tool by hand, then cut and remove the cable insulation see figure 9
7 Insert striped cable into contact barrel and insure all conductor strands are captured in the contact barrel.
Crimp contact barrel by using the corresponding crimping die. See Figure 10
8 Insert the crimped male or female terminal into back of male or female cable connector .A “click” should
be heard or felt when the contact cable assembly is seated in correct position. Contacts cannot be
removed once seated. See figure 11
9 To fixed the gland nut by the open-end wrench of the assembly tool, and to fixed the male cable connector

or female cable connector by the another assembly tool, then tighten the gland nut with the specified
tightening torque. See figure 11
10 Spin clockwise to fully tighten the gland nut. Clearance between the gland nut and the cable connector
should be 0.8 to 3.0mm
11 Insert the female cable connector into the male cable connector when the gland nut is fully tightened. The
connection of female and male cable connector is complete when an “audible click” is heard.
C. Pulling AC Cable
1 Use cables according to specifications and check all document reference
2 Make sure that when installing all components there is no voltage
3 Open the inverter AC Cable cabinet and remove the supporting accessories and store them properly
4 Choose crimping tools that match the type of AC output cable LV AC cable termination 0.6/1 kV 1R x 3C x
95 sqmm using cable schoen/skun bimetal 95-M12 , for grounding cable used bimetal 50-M8 and crimping
using hydraulic method. Colored heatshrink (adjusting phase color coding) is used to seal the crimping
results on the bimetallic Schoen cable. The connection from the termination of the LV AC cable to the
terminal uses bolt & nut with a torque of 20-30 Nm.
5 Bending AC LV Cable, for laying cable, attention must be paid to the bending radius, in accordance with
conditions below.

6 Make sure again before the cable is held cable connector / cable gland has been installed
7 After cable pulling, check for mechanical damage to the cable
8 Perform a continuity test on each cable that has been pulled to ensure each pull matches the
cableschedule and record the measurement results on the form provided
9 Next, Insulation Resistance (IR) test to ensure there are no voltage leaks or damage to the cable (minimum
