became active in sharing their ideas and insights in front of the class. Through the
strategies and activities that I utilized; they became more interested in learning. The
methods that I utilized when I delivered my lesson helped me bring out or ignite their
energy and helped them to be focused in the process.
2. Based on my observation during the delivery of my lesson, my learners were focused
when I was presenting and stating the learning objectives at the beginning of the lesson.
They were attentively listening, and it made me happy and more motivated to deliver my
lesson well because I saw their eagerness to learn and participate as well. For retention, I
let them read the objectives and gave them information or ideas about the objectives
after.
3. I believe that their new learning can relate to what they really know in a way where
students can use their prior knowledge to broaden their mastery and understanding about
the new lesson especially when it is connected and relevant to the new learning. They can
use and apply their prior knowledge to explain and express their thoughts and opinion as
well as in answering their assessments and activities.
4. How did you notice some students who need assistance? What did you do?
5. Based on the result of their assessments and activities, I can say that they did not
experience difficulty in applying the theories/concepts learned to real life contexts
because during the delivering of my lesson, I made sure to utilize examples that are
related and connected to real-life situations for them to understand easily. Based on their
outputs, they apply their knowledge and learned concepts of theories especially that their
lesson is about the strategies and styles of writing and their assessment is to write an
example of an essay about the current issues here and our country by the help of the
concepts, process, and strategies that they have learned in the discussion. After reading
their outputs, I am happy there is an improvement in their way of writing and I am amaze
by how they are creative in expressing their thoughts and opinions even in writing.
6. After giving my feedback about their outputs and activities, I saw how happy and proud
they are on themselves. I also stated their areas of improvement and tell them not to take
it in a negative way. I can see how they are very much open to learn and improve and I
can see their determination to strive harder.
7. The evidence that can prove that the students had retention of learning are the result of
their quiz and based on the result of their assessment. During their quiz, most of my
learners got a high score and based on their outputs, they learned the important concepts
and theories in doing their assessment and I can say that they learned something from my
discussion since it is reflecting from their outputs and the concepts and theories that we
have discussed are applied and found in their written output.
The area where I need to improve the most is the rapport/interaction with my students especially
that we are now in the curriculum where we implement learner centered kind of teaching and
learning. Even though I have effective strategies that I am utilizing and implementing during my
teaching process, I need to ensure and keep my learners active all the time. I need to enhance and
develop a strategy that can help me hold the interests of my learners to listen and participate
throughout the discussion. Even though I have already established a respectful, fair, and
impartial learning environment, I still need to improve, enhance, and maintain form them to be
able to feel the security and help them build their confidence to share their insights and point of
views about our lesson. I must keep encouraging and motivating them to participate actively to
be able to achieve their expected learning outcomes as well as to have an effective, efficient and
productive learning process.
The trial that I encountered in delivering my lesson is keeping or maintaining the interest of my
learners to learn.
Some strategies that I can employ to improve this situation is by relating the material to real-life
situations and demonstrate its practical application because when learners see the relevance of
what they're learning, they are more likely to stay engaged. I can also encourage participation
through discussions, group activities, and hands-on projects that can help me promotes active
learning as well as to use varied teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. I
must create quizzes, competitions or any interactive scenarios to make the learning process fun
and challenging, by clearly communicating the learning objectives because knowing what they
are working toward helps them stay focused and motivated. As a teacher, I must be flexible in
my approach and be adaptive in my teaching methods based on the needs and interests of my
learners. I must always remember that the key is to create a positive and interactive learning
environment where my learners should feel motivated and empowered to explore and
understand the subject matter.
