Onitama

Forgotten Moves
This is a fan expansion for Onitama.
It is compatible with any other expansion.
You need the original Onitama game in
order to play.

Components
14 Move Cards. 2 of them (Whale and
Owl) require the Way of the Wind expan-
sion.

Dual Cards on the Wind Spirit

Dual cards are cards that move the mas-
ter or the students differently. Such cards
include the Mejika, Okija, Sasori or Kumo.
This expansion also includes two new Dual
Cards (Koala and Koi). You may use these
cards in a Wind Spirit game, using the
Way of the Wind expansion. When using
such a card on the Wind Spirit itself, the
Wind Spirit will move following the stu-
dent moves of that card. Master moves
are only possible for the Masters them-
selves.
New moves
This expansion includes cards with new
kinds of moves, that can only be done un-
der certain conditions.
Some moves (a white cross on a black
square) are only possible when the pawn
is moving to an empty square.
Some others (a black cross on a white
square) are only possible when the pawn
is moving on an opponent pawn (student
or master).
In the following example, the pawn in the
middle of the board can either move to its
left or capture the pawn on its right using
the Wolf Card. No other move is possible
for that card and that pawn.
Draft
Draft is a new way to set up the game.
To start a new game, draw 5 cards. Se-
lect a first player randomly or using the
stamp of the last drawn card. The play-
ers then take turns picking a card from
these 5 cards, starting from the second
player. The last card to be picked is the
extra card in the middle. Note that when
playing with Spirit Cards, the two players
can start the game with a different num-
ber of Spirit Cards.
