The line graph compares the percentage of population living in urban areas in 4 Asian countries from 1970 to 2040. Overall, urban residency increased in each country, particularly in Malaysia projected to have over 80% of its population in cities by 2040. The Philippines declined after 1980 but will likely recover to over 50% urban. Indonesia overtook Thailand and the Philippines, projected to be the second highest at 55% urban.

The line graph below shows the number of cell phone subscribers in a particular city, by gender.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons
where relevant.

The given graph provides information about how many men and women in Marysville subscribed for mobile
phone services over a course of 20 years from 1995.
Overall, upward trends were observed in the graphs illustrating the number of cellphone subscribers in these
two genders. After the given period, men replaced women to become the most cellphone subscribers.
1995-2005 witnessed relatively similar/homogenous patterns in the number of cellphone subscribers of men
and women: upward trends. Accordingly, the number of cellphone subscribers of men soared to reach a high
of 2500 from its initial point of about 500. There was a surge in the number of cellphone subscribers of
women, with approximately 600 subscribers in 1995 skyrocketing to reach its peak of 2500 in 2005.
These patterns were not observed in 2005-2015 as they reflected opposite trends. The graph illustrating the
number of cellphone subscribers of men experienced a 5-year of stability, followed by a modest increase; the
number of subscribers in 2015 was approximately 2750 subscribers. In contrast, the number of cellphone
subscribers of women fell modestly to the point of about 2250 subscribers before stabilizing until 2015.

The line graph illustrates changes in the money spent on books in 4 countries from 1995 to 2005..
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons
where relevant.

The given graph compares the expenditure on books in four different countries including Germany, France, Italy and
Austria over the period of 20 years starting from 1995.

C1: Overall, upward trends were observed in the graphs illustrating the expenditure on books in all four nations. It is
obviously seen that Germany always ranked first in the total amount of money spent on books over the given period.

C2: Overall, the upward trends were the main feature of book expenditures in four examined countries. During the given
period, the Germans always spent money on books the most, while the Italians replaced the Austrians to become the
least buyers.

In 1995-1999, Germany and Austria had homogenous patterns in book expenditure: a $10 milion increase. The graph
illustrating book expenditure in Germany was reversed, declining to approximately $85 million before recovering and
peaking at $ 95 million. Book expenditure in Austria then experienced a 2-year period of stability (at well $ 40 million),
followed by a surge, with the peak being about $ 75 million in 2005.

The money spent on books in France climbed steadily, except for the case of 1999-2001 when it increased dramatically
from $ 60 million to $70 million. In contrast, book expenditure in Italy experienced a fluctuation, followed by an increase
to over $60 million in 2005; the peak and the bottom of this fluctuation were approximately $55 and $50 million,
respectively.

The graph below shows the production of three forest industry products in a European country, namely
timber, pulp, and paper from 1980 to 2000. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting
the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph compares the production of pulb, timber and paper over a period of 20 years, starting from 1980 in a
specific European country.

Overall, the upward trends were observed in the graphs illustrating the production of all three examined products.
During the given period, the production of paper soared to be at the highest.

Paper production experienced a two-stage increase, with a steady increase at the first 15 years, from 4 million tons to
about 9 million tons, followed by a slight fallback to just above 8 million tons, then boomed to its peak at 12 million
tonnes by 2000. Whereas, timber production had the highest starting point but plunged in the first 3 years and hit its
bottom at about 3 million tons, followed by a rocket to 1985. The next 15 years witnessed a gradual increase in the
production of timber with its peak at about 10 million tons in 2000.

In contrast, the graph illustrating the production of pulb witnessed significant fluctuations. In 1980-1985, the quantity of
pulp skyrocketted and reached its peak at 10 million tonnes, then dropped sharply by 8 million tonnes and flattened out
until 1990. The figure for pulb fell by about 6.5 million tonnes, then recovered towards 1997 and dropped slightly again
by 2000.

The line graph gives information about the percentage of population in 4 Asian countries living in the
cities from 1970-2020, with predictions for 2030 and 2040. Summarise the information by selecting
and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line chart delineates population trends as they relate to urban residency in four Asian countries starting in
1970 with projections through 2040. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that living in
urban areas will increase in each nation, particularly Malaysia and the Philippines. By the end of the period,
Malaysia will have by far the greatest proportion of their population living in cities.
In 1970, the percentages for urban residents in the Philippines and Malaysia were nearly equal (31% and 30%
for each), similar to the data for Thailand and Indonesia (19% and 12%, respectively). Over the next twenty
years, Malaysia’s percentage rose and fluctuated, switching relative positions with the Philippines around the
40% marker before beginning a dramatic surge in 1990 that is anticipated to continue and plateau at just over
80% by 2040. The Philippines, in contrast, declined moderately after 1980, though this figure will likely recover
and end at a high of above 50% in 2040.
The statistics for urban residency in Indonesia have grown considerably, overtaking Thailand in 2000 (at 28%)
and the Philippines in 2010 (at 42%). This pattern is projected to persist with the final figure the second highest
among all nations at 55%. Lastly, Thailand has experienced the most gradual and consistent increase to reach
approximately 30% in the present day, with a more rapid rise to over 40% expected over the next 17 years.
