The recurring incidents of individuals, especially children, a emp ng to swim in the dam and subsequently
drowning highlight the urgent need for enhanced safety measures in the area. It is distressing to note that
such incidents are becoming increasingly frequent, resul ng in the loss of innocent lives.

I kindly request your immediate a en on to this ma er, and I propose the following measures to address
the safety concerns at Khandi Talav Dam:

1. Installation of Warning Signs: Place clear and visible warning signs around the dam
area, emphasizing the dangers of swimming and the potential risks involved.
2. Deploy Security Personnel: Assign security guards to patrol the dam area during peak
hours, especially during weekends and holidays, to deter individuals from venturing into
the water unsupervised.
3. Fencing and Restricted Access: Implement physical barriers, such as fencing, to restrict
access to the dam area. This will help control entry and prevent individuals, especially
children, from reaching the water without proper supervision.
4. Community Awareness Campaigns: Conduct awareness campaigns within the local
community, schools, and colleges to educate residents, parents, and children about the
dangers associated with swimming in the dam and the importance of adhering to safety
guidelines.
5. Emergency Response Plan: Develop and publicize an emergency response plan for
swift action in case of incidents, ensuring that rescue operations can be initiated
promptly.
