LAS TRENDSNETWORKS Week 7
GLOBAL NETWORKS-MIGRATION
“A human being is part of the whole called by us the universe” – Albert Einstein
To become part of the universe, a person is first born to a group called family.
The family is part of a community called a barangay. A barangay is a part of a
municipality. A municipality is part of a province. A province is part of a region.
Regions form a country. A country is part of a continent. Several continents form a
world or planet. A planet is part of a solar system. A solar system is part of a galaxy.
A galaxy is part of a universe.
Moreover, a whole is comprised of parts. Just as how a human being is part of
a universe, a human being as a whole is also composed of parts. Each part of a
person’s body is vital for the body to function properly.
Furthermore, through globalization, peoples around the world become
interconnected. Globalization aided in the integration of peoples and products.
Exportation and importation is easily attained among nations. Countries exchange
not only products but also peoples. For instance, the movement of a person from
one area to another is called migration. Migration can be internal or within a country
and external or outside a country.
Today, OFWs are dubbed as modern day heroes. Filipino OFWs are in
demand for being hard working, industrious and perseverant.
