1. Discuss the various types of keys available on a computer keyboard.

Ans: The various types of keys available on a computer keyboard include:

 Alphanumeric Keys: These keys include letters (A-Z) and numbers (0-9).
 Function Keys: These keys (F1-F12) are located at the top row of the keyboard
and have different functions depending on the software or operating system
being used.
 Modifier Keys: These keys include Shift, Control (Ctrl), Alt, and Windows/Mac
key. They modify the function of other keys when pressed in combination.
 Arrow Keys: These keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) are used for navigation and
moving the cursor.
 Special Keys: These keys include Enter/Return, Backspace, Delete, Caps Lock,
Tab, Escape (Esc), Spacebar, etc. They perform specific functions related to
input, editing, and controlling the computer.

2. Differentiate between Home Keys and Guide Keys.

Ans: Home Keys are specific keys on the keyboard where the fingers are placed when
not typing to maintain proper hand position. The home keys for touch typing are the
middle row keys: ASDF for the left hand and JKL; for the right hand.

Guide Keys, on the other hand, are reference keys that help the typist position their
fingers correctly on the keyboardThe guide keys on a computer keyboard are F and J,

efficiency through structured lessons, exercises, and practice sessions

Ans: The finger allocation for the Bottom Row (from left to right) of a computer keyboard
is as follows:
