ABSTRACT
In today’s world the management system is very important and essential for
every system. This management system is an application-based system having
two applications developed, one for teachers to manage teacher details and
another for students to mark their details. Every organization whether
government or private uses an information system to store data of their staff.
However, in India it is found that many small scale industries or colleges use
pen and paper to keep a record. However, there are many advanced
technology systems available that can do this work but they all are costly for
these low level industries. This project is useful for easy user interface. The
system uses the powerful database management system, data retrieval and
data manipulation. This project provides more ease for managing the data
than manually maintaining the data. Hence it saves the lot of time of ours also.
So we can say that the project is useful for saving valuable time and reducing
huge paper work.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all those who
helped us in various capacities in undertaking this project and devising the re-
port. We are privileged to express our sense of gratitude to our respected
teacher Mr. Somesh Sharma whose unparalleled knowledge, moral fiber and
judgment along with his know-how, was an immense support in completing
the project.
We take this opportunity also to thank our friends and contemporaries for
their co-operation and compliance.

Introduction
In the Software every student the the roll no. is provided by the head of the
department. In this project an Admin can manage and take decision about the
students like deletion of any student , Admin is authorized to for creating to-
ken for the registration of a student.
This system saves the time of the administrator. It includes process like regis-
tration of student details like roll no. , name ,contact etc. This system reduces
the cost and workforce required for this job.
This makes the system easy to handle and feasible for finding the omission
with updating at the same time. As for the existing system, they use to main-
tain their record manually which makes it vulnerable to security. If filed a
query to search or update in a manual system, it will take a lot of time to
process the query and make a report which is a tedious job.
Admin has given the functionality of CRUD operation. CRUD stands for Create
Read , Update and Delete. Admin can perform CRUD operation on any student.
Hence this system is to provide an alternate and convenient way for any
school or college to maintain the required data for students through an auton-
omous software application approach .
Project Category
A desktop-based Student Management System (SMS) is a software application
designed to streamline administrative tasks related to managing student in-
formation in educational institutions such as schools, colleges, and universi-
ties. Here's a brief description of its key features and functionalities.
Overall, it’ll make Student Information Management an easier job for the ad-
ministrator any organization. The main purpose of this SRS document is to il-
lustrate the requirements of the project Student information System and is in-
tended to help any organization to maintain and manage its student’s personal
data.
The main objective of the Student Management System is to manage the de-
tails of student like name, course, email, contact etc... . It manages all the infor-
mation about each student. The control of this system is given to teacher.
The project is totally built at administrative end and thus only the administra-
tor is guaranteed access.
Problem Formulation
File get damaged when a computerized system is not there, some cases
like due to natural disasters , fire , floods etc.
Space consuming , after the number of records become large the space
for physical storage of file and records also increases.
During analysis, data collected on the various files, decision points and
transactions handled by the present system. The commonly used tools in the
system are Data Flow Diagram, interviews, etc. Training, experience and
common sense are required for collection of relevant information needed to
develop the system.
The success of the system depends largely on how clearly the problem is
defined, thoroughly investigated and properly carried out through the choice
of solution. A good analysis model should provide not only the mechanisms of
problem understanding but also the frame work of the solution. Thus it should
be studied thoroughly by collecting data about the system. Then the proposed
system should be analyzed thoroughly in accordance with the needs.
In our proposed system we have the provision for adding the details of the
students by themselves. So the overhead of the school authorities and the
teachers is become less. Another advantage of the system is that it is very easy
to edit the details of the student and delete a student when it found unneces-
sary. The marks of the student are added in the database and so students can
also view the marks whenever they want.
All the manual difficulties in managing the student details in a school or col-
lege have been rectified by implementing computerization.
