Lent is a 40-day season before Easter where Christians prepare through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. It begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Thursday, as a time to talk to God in prayer through Scripture and give to others while practicing self-control like fasting.

What is Lent? Why and how do
we Celebrate it? Lent is a 40-day season of praying, fasting, and almsgiving. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at dusk on Holy Thursday. It is a time where we prepare to celebrate Jesus’s Resurrection and during Lent, we talk to the Lord in prayer in which we read the Sacred Scripture, give alms, and practice self-control by fasting. How are you going to fast? I am going to fast by going to bed earlier and not playing the game as much, and by not eating unhealthy foods like candy and chips. How are you increasing in prayer?
I am increasing in prayer by praying more
times a day and not only praying whenever I need something, and by praying for a longer amount of time. Where are you in faith and where do you want to be?
In my faith, I am in a strong and growing relationship
with Jesus, and I want to continue to follow his teachings and lead me by example in my everyday life.
