ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN Key strategies Review our Communication and Decision Making policy and procedures.

Actions Training and development in the language of dialogue and discussion and the connections in decision making and communication. Documentation of agreed decision making processes. Implement processes with students and parents to develop norms and unpack agreed school values to support our learning community. Build on the staff meeting, staff release and school closure opportunities to support team and R-7 connections through practice. Supported by a detailed term and yearly overview of all events, including extra curricula planning Performance development plans established by all staff in negotiation with leadership for authentic feedback on performance. Buddy system established for support and behaviour support. School / transition visit program established. Policy folder reviewed. Regular timetable of meetings established with leadership, Special Ed and ESL specialists, SSOs and teachers to plan intervention programs. Role and responsibility statements are documented for all staff

Evidence All stakeholders have appropriate opportunities in decision making. Staff are freely expressing their opinions in a way that reflects our norms. School community members are treating each other with respect. A greater sense of belonging is evident across the school community. Professional needs and interests are being met through Performance management and professional development, including regular authentic feedback. Staff feel appreciated for the work they do and supported by leadership. Staff feedback and student learning outcomes indicate students needs are being met and interventions successful. Feedback indicates the school is well organised. Staff, student and parent feedback indicates a balance of events organised across the whole school.

Targets Improved responses to staff and parent opinion survey in comparison to 2009 data. Term reviews and anecdotal community feedback will reflect evidence of improvement.

Explore the development of whole school Norms for behaviour and development of whole school values to support our learning community. Establish R-7 connections in teaching and learning, whole school events, training and development and reflection on practice.
