    REPORT ON ORIENTATION DAY OF GNM 3RD YEAR STUDENTS

    Date :- 15TH JAN 2024

    Venue :- CHC BHANGEL

    OBJECTIVES :

     To orient students to the college and hospital environment.


     To provide information and opportunities to explore academic success strategies
     The ability to function safely in the hospital
     To articulate and understand the advantages and challenges.
     To make students experience a sense of connectedness
     To provide ability to negotiate the physical environment of the hospital.
     An integrated social support system and connection with other students.
    SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
    1. Gets oriented to the Village/Area/PHC.
    2. Visits the allotted houses and develops rapport.
    3. Prepares Area Map.
    4. Conducts household survey and assessment of the family of the allotted houses.
    5. Visits the target house and provides comprehensive nursing care.
    6. Demonstrates/conducts Procedure.
    7. Observes/witnesses the procedure demonstration.
    8. Provides Health Education to the family of target House.
    9. Observes/witnesses the health education provided by the student nurse to the family.
    10. Plans and prepares for role play/street play.
    11. Conducts/performs role play/street play as per the plan.
    12. Prepares plan for conducting school Health Programme.
    13. Obtains formal permission to conduct school Health programme.
    14. Conduct Health assessment for the school students.
    15. Provides Health Education for school students.
    16. Plans and prepares Survey reports.
    17. Presents the survey report and submits the final report.

    HOSPITAL ORIENTANTION

    Orientation was held on 15TH January, 2024 for GNM 3RD year students Prakash
    Institute, Gr. Noida. All students GNM 3RD year students were there for the
    orientation . There were students and nursing instructor present in the orientation .
    Diksha kaushal and other staff members are there in that day
    wards are useful for accountability purposes and often work in their own silos, so that patients can be placed
    according to the treatment and expertise that they require. Most general hospitals are often divided into the
    following wards, though this is by no means an exhaustive list:
     Admissions ward
     General medicine ward
     Acute care units
     ICU
     Accident and emergency (A&E)
     Maternity services
     Paediatrics
     Oncology
     Surgery
     Elderly care
     Outpatient services
    Who works on a general medicine ward?

    The general medicine ward provides acute medical services for adults of all ages across a wide variety of specialties.
    The majority of general medicine admissions come from A&E and are mostly unplanned appointments. Admissions
    from A&E normally get sent to the admissions ward where patients are reviewed by a team of doctors, nurses and
    therapists. Some are discharged the same or next day, though if they require further treatment they are transferred to
    the general medicine ward.

    Healthcare professionals that work in general medicine are trained to treat patients that suffer from acute or long-
    term medical conditions and symptoms, but their work does not involve surgery. Individuals working on the
    general ward are:

     Consultant doctors
     Physiotherapists
     Dietitians
     Occupational therapists
     Nurses
     Other professionals offering personalised, fully-integrated care
