AUDIO SCRIPT: LISTEN AND ANSWER
Juliet. Fine! I was anxious here waiting for your call. Are you enjoying Los Angeles?
How about your family? Are you all fine?
Sandra: Yeah, we are OK. The city is big and exciting but we are living in the
suburbs, far from downtown My neighborhood has good infrastructure. It's one of
the best in the city, but..
Juliet: But.?
Sandra: Well, we moved in last month, and I’m still homesick. I miss my
hometown, grandparents friends, school. I miss everything.
Juliet: What about your brothers? What do they think about it?
Sandra: Philip likes the idea, but Mark is stressed over this situation, like me.
Juliet: Don't panic! It's only an idea. Maybe it will never happen. Your parents will
probably become familiar with the place you are now and they'll learn to love it.
Sandra: Really? Tell me now because I need to hear some good news!
Sandra: Are you serious? Oh, it will be amazing! Do you know how long you will
stay here?
Juliet: Maybe for a month. I will need to return home at the beginning of August.
I'm pumped about it! It will be the time of our lives.
Adam: Great! So, the first thing is to choose our avatars before starting a new
match.
Adam: Little Wiz. Liz. Bobby, Akio, Alice, Joe, Sue and Clara.
Leah: So here we go! The match today is "Starting a New Journey," and the goal is
to find the tip so we can go to the next stage.
Adam: Yes. Let's keep on Moving. Will we need to find a village or something?
Adam: Look, there's a button over there. Can you reach it?
Leah: Yes. I think it's the tip button! Let me press it.
Adam: It's our first tip! It says: "Another word for beach." Leah: Hum.. Is it... coast,
maybe?
Adam: Look! You did it. Liz! We completed the first mission. I love your geography
knowledge.
Leah: This is the advantage of those mandatory geography lessons.
Adam: I'm really proud of you.
Question: What time will you finish doing everything you have to do today?
Student: I will finish everything I have to do today about 8 p.m.
Question: Where will you be at 10 p.m. tonight?
Student: I'll be at home.
Question: When will you finish high school?
Student: I'll finish high school in 2027.
Teacher: What will you miss when you move out of your parents' house?
Student: I will miss my dogs and the food.
Teacher: Do you think you’ll feel homesick the next time you travel? Why or why
not?
Student: I think I’ll not feel homesick the next time I travel because I am very
independent.
