1.1 Structuralism and Functionalism

 Structuralism was found by Edward Titchener ,focused on the analysis of the


basic elements that constitute the mind. It aimed to break down mental
processes into their most basic componets to understand the structure of the
mind . structuralists used introspection a method in which individuals would
report their conscious experiences,to analyze the structure of the mind .

Funtionalism was found by William james and it focused on the purpose of mental
processes and behavior .it aimed to understand how the mind and behavior
function in adapting to the environment. Functionalists were interested in the
practical applications of psychology and how mental processes help individuals
adapt to their environment

In short ,while structuralism focused on the structure of the mind through


introspection ,and functionalism focused on the purpose and behavior in adapting to
the environment.

1.2 Carol Ryff is a prominent psychologist known for her work on psychological well-
being.she developed the “six-factor model of psychological well being ,which
emphasizes the importantance of multiple dimensions of well-being ,including self
acceptance,positive relations mastery, purpose in life and personal growth . Ryff in
position in psychology focuses on the holistic understanding of well-being .Going
beyond traditional measures of mental health to encompass a broader range of
human experiences and functioning .Her work has significantly influenced the field
of positive psychology and has contributed to a more comprehensive understanding
of psychological well-being.

1.3 AUTOCRATIC LEADERSHIP STYLE-This leadership will be a most effective


leader because he\she will be the one who take \make decisions and gives all the
orders example in situation we found that person as principal

 DEMOCRATIC –Is characterized by consulting with subordinates and
considering their suggestions and input when making decisions.

 PACE SETTER LEADERSHIP-Is one of the most effective for achieving fast
results.

1.4 PARTICIPATIVE LEADERSHIP

Because style of a leadership involves actively involving members in the decision-


making process, seeking their knowledge or ideas and valuing their
contributions.this can lead to increase employeesatisfaction motivation ,and a sense
of ownership in the workplace

productivity. This approach aimed to streamline operations ,reduce waste ,and
increase output.

Scientific management also emphasized the selection and training of workers to
perform specific task s efficiently. By breaking down work into smaller ,specialized
tasks, ford motor company sought to achieve greater productivity and cost-
effectiveness.
