INTRODUCTION

In today’s world, the way of functioning and managing the system has
been totally changed. There are sudden and abrupt changes in the
structure maintenance and modification, handling, levelling inside
every system. Without managing system through computer
applications and programming, the development of infrastructure is
unfinished. There are many errors and drawback without use of
computer programming and application. Our Hotel Management
program is an all-inclusive system which simplifies the end to end of
hotel operations such as front office, room reservations refreshments,
billing, and more by automating them. It helps in improving efficiency
and fast procedures for visitors. It is also efficient in keeping guest
database and preferences. This program is untroublesome as it will
serve the user to be updated about records without any strength and
it is favoured much by people involved in the business sector.

OBJECTIVES
Hotel management system is a simple application, which is especially
generated and designed for the low level to star hotels in order to
enter the various records and information. and can perform other
functions like addition, deletion, searching and modification if
required. The objective of the project is to make an application which
has the ability to do all these tasks.
PROJECT OVERVIEW

The aim of this project is to design a hotel management system for

running a hotel business. The system should be as flexible as possible
so that it can be used for different hotels. Essential features which
your system has to support are: making a booking, checking the
availability of rooms and the check in and check out procedures. The
system is able to calculate bills. The overall project has a design phase,
designing the software system, and an implementation part. It is a
web-based application that allows the hotel manager to handle all
activities online. The ability to manage various hotel bookings and
rooms make this system very flexible and convenient. Costumer can
view and book rooms online. Other hotel services can also be viewed
by the costumers and can book them too. The system is hence useful
to both costumers and managers to portable manage the hotel
activities.
NEED OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT
This system will help administration to work easily because of its
easy access and less time-consuming administration can get the
information of the Users, Rooms, Payments, etc. They do not have to
search in the paper file for the log time.Members an easily handle
the system.

Specification requirement
External Interfaces
- This interface will be actual interface through which the user will
communication with the application and perform the desired tasks.

Software Product Features

Hotel Management System
• Sequencing information
-Login information should be filled before the user allowed.
• Error Handling
-If user doesn’t filled up validate information then the system display
error message for user and request to enter the validate information.
Performance required

• Security
-System should be Protected from unauthorized access Where
the validate Username and Password are required so no other
can access.
• Data Model:
- A database model is a type of data model that determines the
logical structure of a database and fundamentally determines
in which manner data can be stored, organized and
manipulated.
Advantage

• The advantages of booking a hotel online add up long before

your arrival. Our legendary customer service extends to the
web
• One advantage of booking with the hotel directly is the use of
the hotel's full cancellation policy as well as not needing a
deposit in most situations.
• Read reviews and compare prices for Online Hotel Booking.
The most important advantage of online hotel booking is
convenience, you can book your room by simply sitting in home.
Internet helps you to browse through the hotels around the world
and compare the facilities and rates easily.

Scope and Feasibility

This activity is also known as the feasibility study.

Perform and evaluate feasibility studies like cost-benefit
analysis, technical feasibility, time feasibility and operational
feasibility for the project. Project Scheduling should be made
using chats. Feasibility study is carried out t decide whether the
proposed system is feasible for the company. It begins with a
request from the user for a new system. It involves the
following:
• Identify the responsible user for a new system
• Clarify the user request
• Identify deficiencies in the current system
• Establish goals and objectives for the new system
• Determine the feasibility for the new system
• Prepare a project charter that will be used to guide the
remainder of the project.

System Analysis

It is a process of collecting and interpreting facts, identifying

the problems, and decomposition of a system into its
components.

System analysis is conducted for the purpose of studying a

system or its parts in order to identify its objectives. It is a
problem solving technique that improves the system and
ensures that all the components of the system work efficiently
to accomplish their purpose.

The objective of the system analysis activity is to develop

structured system specification for the proposed system. The
structured system specification should describe what the
proposed system would do; independent of the technology,
which will be used to implement these requirements. The
structured system specification will be used to implement
these requirements.

The essential model may itself consist of multiple models,

modeling different aspect of the system. The data flow
diagrams may model the data and there relationships and the
state transition diagram may model time dependent behavior
of the system. The essential model thus consists of the
following.

• Context diagram
• Leveled data flow diagrams
• Process specification for elementary bubbles
• Data dictionary for the flow and stores on the DFDs.

System Design

System design involves transformation of the user

implementation model into software design. The design
specification of the proposed system consists of the following:
• Database scheme
• Sequence Diagram
• Flow Chart
Implementation

This activity includes programming, testing and integration of

modules into a progressively more complete system.
Implementation is the process of collect all the required parts
and assembles them into a major product.

PROJECT SCOPE

• All proper keywords has been used to define is

function this new system.
• Basic concepts of C programming language like Goto,
structures, array and files are used.
• User will be able to get all details on how to use
instruction on offline mode, so no need to take special
training before using the system.
• It allows Hotel reception department to manage all the
records of their customers and their payment in easy
manner.
• It meets all the dealing out requests needed within
hotel industries.
CONCLUSION

As we are aware of busy and hectic schedule of business people,

this Hotel Management program will surely turn out to be great relief
for them. This program definitely has a wide scope to minimize
errors in handling database of customers and in making the bills.
In short, this program is rooted on C. In the making of this program,
reliability is put into consideration which focuses to sell once quality
time. It has least chance of data loss and we don’t have to worry
about it being damaged.
