Thumbs up to the Easter Egg Hunt!

Glasgow’s Easter Egg Hunt was delayed by a week, and
despite rain in the forecast for this past Saturday, it turned
out to be a pretty darn nice morning on April 6th for a
successful outing. Approximately 4,000 plastic eggs filled
with candy were divided into three sections: Ages 0-3, Ages
4-5, and Ages 6-8. The eggs were stuffed by Kiwanians, Milk
River clients, Builders Club students, Prairee Ridge resdents
and numerous community volunteers. Kiwanians and other
volunteers assisting to set up and hide the eggs on site
included Lisa Koski, Arnold and Ann Hill, Rocky Zimdars, Jeff
Hayward, Sydney Hayward, Charles Wilson and Ben Wilson,
along with GHS Key Club Advisor Tasheena Wilcox and Milk
River volunteers. Thanks to all who participated, especially
the Easter Bunny shown at right with a thumbs up!

FWP accepting applications
for Block Management Program
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is accepting
applications from landowners who are interested in
participating in the 2024 Block Management Program.
Application deadline is June 1.
Through the Block Management Program,
landowners and FWP work together to help manage
wildlife and public hunting activities on enrolled
lands. Landowners and FWP enter into voluntary
agreements that determine how hunting will be
conducted on the landowner’s property. Items such as
permission requirements, times when permission will be
granted, hunting opportunities provided and vehicle use
are a few examples of what is covered in an agreement.
Block Management offers various benefits to
landowners enrolled in the program. These benefits
include assistance of FWP staff to help monitor hunting
activities, compensation to help offset impacts associated
with allowing public hunting, wildlife management, a
free subscription to Montana Outdoors magazine and a
complimentary, non-transferable sportsman or big game
combination (nonresident) license. Landowners do not
relinquish any rights by enrolling and are covered by
Montana’s recreational liability statute as well as livestock
loss reimbursement, both of which are extended to
landowners who allow access at no charge.

Linda Burnett, 23, a resident of San Diego, was
visiting her inlaws, and while there, she went to a nearby
supermarket to pick up some groceries.
Several people noticed her sitting in her car with the
windows rolled up and with her eyes closed, with both
hands behind the back of her head. One customer who
had been at the store for a while became concerned and
walked over to the car.
He noticed that Linda’s eyes were now open, and she
looked very strange. He asked her if she was okay, and
Linda replied that she’d been shot in the back of the head,
and had been holding her brains in for over an hour.
The man called the paramedics, who broke into the
car because the doors were locked and Linda refused to
remove her hands from her head. When they finally got
in, they found that Linda had a wad of bread dough on
the back of her head.
A Pillsbury biscuit canister had exploded from the
heat, making a loud noise that sounded like a gunshot,
and the wad of dough hit her in the back of her head. INTERLOK INC.
When she reached back to find out what it was, she felt
the dough and thought it was her brains. She initially

Wearing Solar Eclipse Glasses
Dorks across the nation have begun helpfully
identifying themselves for the general populace by
all wearing solar eclipse glasses.
“Oh, look honey, another huge dork,” said local
man Ben Williamson to his wife as they spotted
another man with eclipse glasses. “Gosh, I had no
idea there were so many giant dorks in this country!”
According to the dorks, the eclipse glasses are
carefully crafted by the American Astronomical
Society to keep away ultraviolet rays and anyone
of the opposite sex. “It’s very important to check
that your solar eclipse glasses are certified as ISO
12312-2:2015,” explained local dork Tommy Reese.
“The glasses should also come with a certificate of
conformity from the POCE laboratory, which you
should keep with you in case anyone questions
whether you are, in fact, a massive dork.”
The dorks have reportedly begun traveling in
packs, renting out houses along the path of the solar
eclipse for little dork gatherings. “There are literally
planes filled with dorks arriving in Arkansas for the
eclipse,” explained local woman Tanya Mason. “Our
little town of 1,200 has been completely overrun
with these dorks. It’s like there’s a dork migration
happening.”
At publishing time, a man who had forgotten
his glasses had taken to holding up a sign reading,
“HUGE DORK” with an arrow pointing to his face.
